Come for the gorgeous theater, stay for the films!
This place is now the only place I’ll be going to movies for! Love the atmosphere! Love the seats. You can order food, cocktails, and the seating is excellent! Must go!
screen is not big but the theater is big. still angelika
One of my favorite places in NYC
The theater was comfortable. I did not use the Cafe. No complaints except that I ordered 3 tickets online and there were 3 fees for the one purchase which seems excessive.
My fav cinema ever - none of the trash commercial garbage here - only movies with character
Here's my poem about the Angelika Film Center in NYC:
In the heart of Manhattan's vibrant streets,
Where culture and art forever meet,
A cinematic gem stood tall and bright,
The Angelika Film Center, a beacon in sight.
I grew up in this city's endless thrall,
With the Angelika as my cinematic hall,
A place where dreams were spun, and stories told,
Where the magic of movies forever unfold.
Its iconic facade, a familiar sight,
A symbol of the city's cinematic delight,
The Angelika's marquee, a showcase of the best,
A promise of wonders, that would forever rest.
Inside its walls, a world of wonder waited,
A realm of imagination, where hearts were created,
The screens came alive, with stories so grand,
A kaleidoscope of emotions, at the audience's command.
From indie darlings to foreign film delights,
The Angelika showcased cinema's diverse lights,
A haven for cinephiles, and film enthusiasts too,
A place where the love of cinema, forever shone true.
I remember nights, when the city's lights were low,
And the Angelika's screens, would glow like a radiant glow,
The sound of laughter, and the rustle of seats,
As the audience surrendered, to the cinematic treats.
The Angelika's legacy, forever in my heart,
A symbol of the city's cinematic art,
A place where dreams were born, and memories created,
The Angelika Film Center, forever celebrated.
As I grew older, and the city's landscape changed,
The Angelika remained, a constant, unaltered range,
A testament to the power, of cinema's enduring spell,
A place where the magic of movies, forever dwelled.
So here's to the Angelika, a cinematic treasure rare,
A place where the love of film, forever fills the air,
May its screens forever glow,
Irish language rapper film was superb. Will come again. Edit: also saw Anora. The 2 craziest movies I’ve ever seen at a theater
My goto spot for solo movie night when I am in NYC.
First time here and couldn’t help but notice how extremely friendly and helpful the staff is . It made such a difference in our experience . We will definitely be back soon .

Got a chance to see the Vitalik film world premiere here. Pretty cool watching a community crowd fund feature length film to life.
Always a great place to watch movies!
One of the best spots to see a movie.
Incredible movie theater with fantastic assortment of showings and many screening events with q&as with cast and directors
Screening of Sing Sing, the movie. Great and friendly atmosphere.
