Such a warm and friendly spot, and a great addition to the neighborhood! The barbacoa flautas were delicious - crunchy, flavorful and with a great guacamole dipping sauce. I also loved the esquites (street corn). This dish is always a must order for me at Mexican restaurants, and Ánimo’s version is my favorite in the city so far! It was creamy without being overly sauced, and there’s taki chips on top for crunch. I’ll definitely be back soon to try their breakfast items.

Obsessed! The food, people, and overall vibe made me so happy these guys moved into the neighborhood. Ordered the Chocolate Caliente Mexicano, they were able to make it decaf for me, and a breakfast taco (Huevo a la Mexicana) and both were delicious! Both had depth of flavor. Even the sauces they provided were unique and delicious but also not even needed because the taco was so good as is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
