Lovely restaurant with a real local vibe.
Busy, vibrant with great food.

This was delicious. Bread taste like French baguette, pate is amazing, pancake are calling me to come back.

The only down is that it was my husband birthday, & I asked for a candle on our pancake. The waiter which we liked because of his wine knowledge, told me « I got you, will add it on a chocolate tart ». when you hear this, you just think that this small attention will be free, like in every single restaurant in nyc. Unfortunately, when I got the check, I saw I was charged for this. Waiter didn’t wanted to remove it.

We will come back but definitely will ensure this is not for a special day, where you expect such simple attention.
Hence - still grade 5 stars as the food is the most important & it was delicious.

We recently had our anniversary lunch at Anton‘s on Labor Day, and we had such a great experience. It’s very non-auspicious, but still giving respect to both food and drink, and it’s offerings. My roast beef sandwich was exquisite, much easier and enjoyable to eat than many of the “viral“ French dips that you hear about- from the bread, to the horseradish, to the perfectly caramelized onions of different varieties, to the amount of meat making it actually edible. The au jus was also rich in flavor. My wife loved her Hand-cut Angel Hair Francese, in fact, her raving about the pasta was the majority of our conversation. Once we received our entrées – incredibly deep in flavor, and the garlic breadcrumbs were a delight to me. We actually started with dessert, and some chocolate rugelach- somehow better than fresh Zabar’s, and double in size - my wife said they almost had a croissant quality to them. Had a few glasses of my favorite pilsner for special occasions- Rothaus Tannenzäpfle, and my wife enjoyed the rose by the glass from Provence. All in all, I think we found a new favorite spot in the West Village.

Absolutely loved it here. Excellent food, friendly service, and a chill vibe. I rated Atmosphere 4 out of 5 because it was a bit loud inside, but it didn't detract from the amazing food. Can't wait to go back.

Feels like a classic west village spot - we had the green pea salad and steak and were pretty happy. Lots of vibes and the crowd was young and energetic.

My friend and I visited for Sunday lunch and were immediately met with an unwelcoming experience. The host refused to seat us inside due to our attire, which felt discriminatory. Despite this, we ordered a pork chop and a 32 oz ribeye and tried to enjoy our meal. However, a server deliberately kicked my friend's chair twice during our visit. Even though the manager was aware of the issue, they ignored our concerns and did nothing to address the situation.

Very unassuming place with amazing food. The rocket salad was the best I've had in a long time. Steak was perfection. And the chocolate tart dessert was so good that I forgot to take a photo.

Love love love everything from their rustic, chic vibe to their A+ menu. The fish is shockingly good.

What can I say about this legendary venue…. Came for a gala and absolutely had a blast. From the staff that were fun and courteous to the leadership that took care of my problem effortlessly. Not to mention the amazing food. Not easy to cook for 150 people… “ I don’t come to Queens Village often, but when I do, I go to Anton’s”

Fantastic food, great service and really cool ambience. I do want to preface that the portion sizes here are definitely on the smaller side especially given the price point and our food came out luke warm, we all left still hungry, but nonetheless, the food was excellent and we had a great time

Excellent in every way! We were at an ice cream shop the night before and some locals highly recommended Anton’s. We didn’t have a reservation, but were able to snag the perfect table as a walk in. Everything we had was exceptional- the snap pea frisée salad, strip steak (one of the best I’ve had), pea shoot lemon pasta, shrimp linguine and angel hair pasta. The sommelier gave a great recommendation, and really was the most pleasant to interact with. Lovely night!
