We came here because the bar was full, and ended up pleasantly surprised! We ordered a charcuterie board, two mocktails (Golden Child), an ice cream, and the truffle fries.
The drinks were incredibly refreshing—like a mix of lemon juice and strawberry jam, with the perfect balance of sweet and sour. The truffle fries with spicy mayo were delicious and not too greasy.
We especially loved the ice cream—the flavor was so rich and satisfying.
Definitely a place we’d come back to!

I had a snack and a drink here last summer and the staff, although rushing to open and set up, let us in a tiny bit early and waited on us and were very hospitable. I had a great first experience and hope to revisit soon.

It’s been awhile since we’ve dined here. I am very disappointed that they’ve changed their menu, and took out what I like: the branzino, and the spicy broccolini. I also liked their steak the last time, but alas! tonight they didn’t have any steaks in stock. The scallops appetizer hit the spot. The braised rib was delicious but a bit fatty and oily. The seafood paella was good but not as good as any Spanish restaurant that’s dime-a-dozen in NYC. The salmon was just ok. And the pasta was just ok. The dessert absolutely saved the evening. The chocolate donuts were warm, light, and not too sweet — just perfect. The library decor and vaulted ceiling also are high points of this restaurant. Service was friendly and warm. Will consider returning depending on the menu. Note: 20% gratuity is automatic.

We stayed at the hotel and went here for dinner. All three foods that we got lacked proper seasoning. The food took really long time to arrive and all of us were so hungry to go to another place. There isn’t many option around here. I’ll give it a try for breakfast but I won’t be coming back for dinner.

Amazing staff and solid breakfast. Didn’t realize this was part of the Hilton hotel but still super cute vibes.

Just awful. At lunch I ordered soup of the day, clam chowder. After half an hour waiting they said they’d forgotten to put the order in. What eventually came out was one of the more disgusting bowls of soup I’ve ever had. Basically flavoured water (except they forgot the seasoning) with something that may or may not have been a cousin of a clam all topped off with a huge puddle of green oil that took up half the bowl. The restaurant was empty. God knows how appalling the service would be if it was full!! Avoid like the plague.
I believe this place is inside some hotel. We found it through Google maps when visiting the island, just wanted to eat and rest a bit. I have to mention pleasant and well drilled staff right away, so hat off to the manager. Place is lovely inside and out, unique look of a library mixed with a bar and hotel lobby. View was nothing special but it had plenty of light. Food was great, I had their burger ( brunch menu, I believe) with tater tots (top notch). They forgot to add bacon, but I wasn't upset because I still got STUFFED, plus they didn't charge for the bacon so that's nice. Draft beer was good, wife was raving about her cocktail and I pecked at her ceasar salad which was perfect with added grillef chicken. Pleasant music added to the ambiance. Joint bathroom, while clean, is kinda weird. It had tiny waiting area with 4 doors that lead to small cabins, waiting area also had the sink and hand drier, it was kinda cramped and a bit weird because its unisex and everyone is shuffling around. Anyway, its not restaurants fault, its the hotel design. When I'm visiting the island again, and I'm hungry or just want a drink, I'm definitely popping back in. To good times!

I really liked their broccolini. Surprisingly, it was spicy and seasoned with cumin, which made it really interesting and flavorful. The steak and chicken were also good, though the prices are on the higher side. The chicken was a bit dry, so I’d recommend the steak over the chicken. Also, a small tip: when ordering, it’s better to ask for a level of doneness that’s slightly rarer than what you actually want. For example, if you want it medium, order medium rare to avoid it being overcooked.
The restaurant’s environment is nice. The high ceiling gives the space an open and airy feel, and the colorful bottles and books on the wall look really cozy and relaxed under the sunlight. It creates a very laid-back vibe. That said, if you’re not ordering drinks, don’t expect much extra attention from the staff. The service is fine, but i feel the place leans more towards being a bar. If you’re hanging out on Roosevelt Island and want a spot to chill for a bit, I’d still recommend stopping by.
