The bill was twice what they said it would be at the door. The music playing from the bar is so loud that you hear it over the music that plays in the karaoke room. And they just have you screenshare from youtube on an iPad onto their tv, instead of having a real machine or full setup. There are much better karaoke rooms in ny than this one.

We were came in on a Saturday night 9pm for a party of 11. We were quoted $100 dollars/hr for a room that didnt fit everyone. Two people in my party ended up standing the whole time and we were elbow to elbow. This is fine because what can you expect from ktown karaoke.
We were initially told that we would get $100 dollar drink credit for our two hour stay. They charged a 25% automatic tip to our bill that we were not told before. Their website also did not mention an automatic gratuity for 25%. Our total ended up being mid $500 for two hours. This is after they kept pushing us to order drinks to meet our drink minimum. We ended up leaving the ordered drinks unopened. However upon receipt they did not give us the credit we were initially told. When we question this there was a long laundry list of reasons how we were given the credit but it doesn’t not show on the itemized receipt. The numbers just did not make sense as we struggled to meet the drink minimum. On the itemized they told me they already included the credit.
In terms of their karaoke system it leaves a bit to be desired. They use YouTube. Theres one shared anytime YouTube account where you can add songs on queue. It was pretty inefficient as random songs would pop up from other peoples rooms. You also cannot insert a song into queue or it will reset the queue.
Our tiny room got pretty hot during the summer time. By the time we left we were all sweating.
In summary please double check your reciept and know what you are paying for.

A lot of sound leakage from main area and other rooms and there isn’t an actual pool of playbacks to choose from, just an iPad with YouTube app connected to speakers and a screen. Staff weren’t very friendly and seemed to be bothered by clients presence.

Apparently, since we had reserved for 100 people, and only 83 of us showed up, they would not let any of us in, despite us all paying a hefty deposit beforehand. They would not let us in unless we paid for 100 people. The workers were also rude and unwilling to help in any way.
Disappointing Experience – Misleading Pricing and Poor Quality
I always write honest reviews based on real experiences and I never thought I’d be this disappointed, but unfortunately, what we experienced here was nowhere near worth the hype or the price.
We booked a private karaoke room expecting a fun night, but from start to finish, it was a letdown. The sound system was terrible, no bass, muffled audio and cheap sounding microphones. For a place operating in this era, the equipment felt outdated and not even close to acceptable standards.
They advertise the room at $50 per hour, claiming it includes tips and taxes, but when the bill came, they added extra taxes and a $40++ gratuity with no breakdown or explanation. This made the pricing feel misleading and dishonest. We ended up paying $220 for just 1 hour in a private room, 4 shots of tequila, and 4 cocktails. The drinks were drinkable, but average at best certainly not worth that price.
Before we even entered, they took and held onto our credit card, which I found very strange. I’ve traveled a lot and visited karaoke places around the world, and this was a first. It made us feel uncomfortable right from the beginning.
To make matters worse, we were asked to leave before our time was up, in the middle of our last song. The server said someone else was waiting, but as we walked out, we saw multiple empty rooms. It just felt like we were being rushed out with no real reason and after paying that much, it was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
Honestly, it felt like a rip-off. I always try to give places a fair chance, but this experience did not live up to even the most basic expectations. I can’t help but question the overly positive reviews maybe people just want freebies, because in reality, this is not the place to go if you care about quality, transparency or value.
I’d much rather pay more for a proper karaoke lounge with high-quality sound, clear pricing, respectful service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Sadly, this place fell short on all fronts.
