Came here last night with 5 friends, I really think this spot has potential to be better given the speakeasy vibe, cool low lighting lounge vibe but the service is just way below average the servers act like they dont want to be there, every time i ordered politely they made us feel like they inconvenienced them. the music was only audible from one side of the room and it was random non-cohesive songs played at a low level. the drinks took forever so we just closed out early and left. I really like this place for the location and potential but unfortunately those things dont equal reality. Lastly, not showing the prices on any of the menus in the place nor online is just weird like i get the whole vibe youre going for but its just mysterious and lacks transparency. Hard to imagine there are many reoccurring customers with this type of service and ambiance. Please do better Apotheke, there needs to be an improvement in the attention to detail and culture. Thanks

Place has so much potential, but the service completely ruins the whole experience. The waiters don’t know what they’re doing and they’re not friendly and clearly don’t want to be there same with the hostess cold shoulder vibes the bartenders you would expect them to be professionals and great at what they’re doing, but unfortunately, they are not. Everyone is clearly poorly trained or maybe just bad management I don’t know. In addition, you can’t even hear music and even if you can it’s just something weird and just doesn’t make sense so that doesn’t help the vibe. other than that it’s beautiful interior and that’s all to that.

Honestly the worst tasting cocktails I have ever tasted. The vibe is truly nice but the cocktails tastes insanely disgusting. Not to mention that the only food they have are nuts and olives (second floor).

I went to this bar with a girlfriend on Friday 10/10/25. It was a random spot that we decided to go to on a whim at about 11pm. The atmosphere was nice, drinks were pricey about 25 for 1 cocktail, which could just be the area. We went up to the rooftop for a table and waited about 20 minutes at the bar to be seated. I started to feel a bit light headed and needed to leave. I all of sudden got so hot and fainted. Not one employee helped me or even offered me water. I was so embarrassed and so dizzy that I left but how disheartening and ridiculous for this establishment to treat a customer in this manner. There’s no excuse for not being checked on by the staff. There were plenty employees around. I will not be returning and do not recommend.

The service here was remarkably bad. One server was working the entire lounge and was visibly intoxicated, which honestly made sense given she spent most of her time talking to her friends at the bar. Drinks were also not great, their take on a mezcal margarita was way over spicy, it felt like drinking hot salsa. We spent 90 minutes here and only got 1 round of drinks because the server was essentially non-existent. We had to go to the host to ask her to grab our check. At this price point, I expect significantly better service.

Apotheke is just one of those cocktail bars that make cocktails taste so good. Refreshing, innovative and often updated menu, sometimes a spin on your favorite classics, courtesy of Max's brilliant mixologist mind; you may not find what you had last month but pick your poison, and there will be something delicious to be concocted. This location has the bonus rooftop with the view of Empire State, and different cocktail menus upstairs vs downstairs. Bonus, the non-descript entrance makes it a nice spot to impress your out-of-town friends.
The drinks were fabulous and the service was second to none. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great Vibes and Incredible Cocktails
Definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. That said, walking in still might score you a table, just don’t expect your first choice.
While I can't comment on the food (we were just there for drinks), the cocktails were spectacular. The Sunday evening vibe was exactly what I look for in a cocktail bar, peaceful and relaxed indoors, with just the faint murmur of voices from outside, but nothing overwhelming. The atmosphere was serene, and the views were absolutely stunning.
Our server was just as chill as the atmosphere, reliable and very kind.
If you're after a chill, high quality cocktail experience, this place is a must!
Even coming from Brooklyn, I will be back!

We tried both the speakeasy (downstairs) and rooftop. Cocktails were pretty tasty but to make this a 5 star you absolutely need to have bar seating which they did not have at either. It's important to have this in any bar setting if you have experienced mixologists.
