After not even being acknowledged in another restaurant I came here and was served well but several people. Food was good and large portions.

This place has terrible service! We waited by the host stand and were told we could sit anywhere outside. Several minutes later the host seated another party next us and gave them menus and took their order. My wife walked inside to get menus and was yelled at for just sitting anywhere. So after being ignored and yelled at we just left the restaurant. I’m sure to food is as bad as the service!

Super friendly host, enormous portions served quickly. Sat outside with a view of the parade of humanity. Massive selection

Caeser salad: limp romaine, a couple of croutons, decorative tomatoes around the plate. No cheese, no anchovies. Very disappointing.

Pancakes were tasteless and waitress was rude. She rolled her eyes when asked for a straw for my water. The guy who sit customers and clear tables should be mentoring staff on customer service. He’s has my vote for employee of the year.

Classic old-fashioned American dinner, as they are now disappearing. Very courteous, we had a great breakfast, and the coffee cup was always refilled :)

I used to work here as a server 10+ years ago. IT was AWESOME! Owner/Management were great and they truly cared about the customer experience. That's rare for the tourist area of the city. Food was actually good and worth it. Added BONUS, you never knew what celebrity was going to walk in!

The dinner! Our gargantuan breakfast meeting on Broadway. And we don't miss this meeting for anything. Highly efficient staff. Impeccable à la carte family dinner. The eggs, the bacon, the pancakes, the salads, the coffee, everything is so typical, it’s great! Moleskin seats, bar stools from the 70s, photos of all the celebrities who frequented this place in the early morning among the police, workers or regulars who come to have breakfast. Applejack is open all the time so if your jetlag gets you out of bed at 5am, put on your jeans and sneakers and rush!!!

Vegetarian options: Eggs, pancakes, waffles, salad, fruit and pastries. I think there is a possibility of finding happiness. We said vegetarian. Not on a diet ?

Kid-friendliness: Yes, the children can come and devour the waffles and French toast, ours have made it their annual appointment!

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is possible, it seems to me that although the place is cramped, there are tables that can accommodate people with reduced mobility.

1 star only because we cannot give a 0 star review. Way too pricy for the quality AND the quantity AND what we have in our plates. The chicken straight out of the freezer, same for the waffle which wete above that awfully fry, a "yoghurt parfait" for 12$ not even big enough to feed a child, and an half of a strawberry...
And do not get me started with the waiters acting as we were bothering them and the staff just sitting at the bar in the middle of their shift.

Industrial cuisine, nonchalant staff, ridiculous quantity even for small eaters.
Avoid, there are good dinners nearby including one done the day before near Carnegie Hall.
