Well....I've just read the sad news that Aquagrill will be closing permanently due in part to COVID19 and that their lease will soon be expiring. Fond memories for many years we had there.....great food....great oysters. Actually this was one of the first restaurants I thought about when the pandemic first hit NYC.....it was always so packed and busy! I wish these landlords would work with all restauranteurs during these tragic times. At 50% capacity how will many even make it?....but just maybe after 24 years (which is fantastic in itself for ANY restaurant, let alone one in NYC!!...Congrats just for that)...Jeremy and his wife Jennifer had had enough of the restaurant business.....or just maybe they will open in the future. They were nice enough to email me their recipes for their softshell appetizer and wasabi chilean seabass years ago.....Thanks again for that....I wish Jeremy & Jennifer and his entire family....and all the employees better days. Thanks for some great times......sad to see you go.

Everything is delicious and fresh! One of the best places to try oysters - good selection. Cheerful and helpful staff. The wine list is on a pricy side. You should definitely make a reservation for dinner, it gets packed as soon as the doors open. Wouldn't recommend lunch though. Been there once for lunch and it is nothing compared to dinner, except for prices.

Enjoyed celebrating my birthday at AquaGrill. VERY professional from reservations to wait staff. I had the yellow fin tuna with crunchy Jasmine rice and my wife the barramundi. Both were excellent. The surprise birthday desserts were amazing and delicious. Great vibe inside the restaurant, NYC loud for a CA boy.

Great ambiance, service menu selection and the fresh succulent oysters are the best ate 1 dozen! Had the salmon with a delicious sauce almost like a bisque excellent. Will return and would recommend!
