I live in Virginia and I wanted a real life East Village experience. Not some “fru fru” $17 dollar a drink fake place. Area 140 was a real NY bar with reasonable prices and a cool theme.
My friend and I hosted our birthday party at this bar and it was phenomenal. The manager is very kind, the drinks are affordable and good, and the sound system is awesome. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
The best bartender ever, he was absolutely honest and de-escalated issues with wrong customer without loosing bar patrons. He made sure everyone was safe and respectful. I will come back and bring my friends
