Felt like we were on a timer. Sushi was okay, but service ruined it. Not worth it.

Wanted sushi and found this place. Very clean. Got the Crazy Salmon Roll- salmon was so creamy- and a California! Yum! My hubby is pretty basic and got the tempura chicken, no veggies. Simple and delicious, too! Highly recommend!

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall NYC Japanese joints with great lunch and dinner bento specials. Fresh food, good sushi. Nothing flashy. Prices are great. Support local small businesses!

Yes, we came 1 hour b4 closing time, but we ordered fast, and they still closed the place on us, lift all the chairs on tables around us, and waited for us to finish and go, even b4 the closing official time.
I ordered the lobster roll, and it was bad 👎, also in taste, and I throw it up mid night 🤢🤮

We had a delightful lunch at Ari! Living in Upstate NY, we really miss having fresh, quality sushi—so this absolutely hit the spot. We kept it light since we were running around the city, but everything we ordered was fresh and satisfying: a California roll, spicy salmon roll, and hot sake.
The atmosphere is quaint and quiet, and the service was excellent. Plus, it was an easy walk from Times Square. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we’re in town!

TLDR: Sashmi wasn’t fresh, go to a different spot for sushi
Atmosphere was fine, small but cozy. Not too packed when I got there. The service was also not bad but it didn’t get a higher rating because the server lied about the freshness and quality of their Otoro(tuna belly sashimi). I checked before ordering if the Otoro was fresh and they reassured me it was “the best and delivered that day” this is after I had asked what they special delivered fish of the day was and he said there are no specials, contrary to the menu.
I ordered the Otoro sashimi and a spicy dinner roll set, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail rolls. The sashimi came out slimy and disgusting the fish was even gray at the bottom. The dinner roll sushi was tasty and it came generously filled. I will say that getting such poor quality sashimi makes me question, if the other fish was bad quality with the taste covered up in the spicy sauce and rice.
I even told the waiter I could not eat the sashimi as it tasted bad and there was no response just removing the plate. My friend tried the sashimi as well and he spit out into his napkin.
After eating here for the first time yesterday, I would not recommend anyone eat here, especially with all the delicious sushi the city has to offer.
