I usually stay on my side of the Hudson (Jersey City) but my friend convinced to meet her at Arlene’s Grocery on Tuesday. I was impressed with the atmosphere and the music was phenomenal! My friend had to leave early but the bartender made me feel comfortable and welcomed which became part of my experience. Britt was very knowledgeable, made great drinks, and has the best taste in music! Can’t wait to cross the Hudson with my Jersey City crew. We’re gonna check out karaoke!
Great live music venue, convenient location in a hip area of town.
One star lost because I had one beer & it was horrible with a metallic taste. Bar tender in upstairs bar completely ignored me, beer downstairs was rough, after that the bar upstairs was just too busy to get service in between bands. I was grateful for the tub of water provided on each bar.
Restroom cubicles were a squeeze for larger people.

Bands are always awesome if you loke original music with a hard kick. Always a great time!
