When we can get seats at the bar, we always do, as Max is the best! We had the restaurant week menu, as most options aren't on the regular menu. It was very tasty!
A local, cozy Italian restaurant that’s been around for some time. It’s a hit-or-miss kind of place though. I’ve had very different experiences over the years.
The last time I visited was for the lunch prix fixe and sat at the bar. The portions are good size and the food was pretty bland.
The bartender was pretty friendly and laid back.
Worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood.

Went for dinner before Ballet in Lincoln Center. Great experience! Food excellent, service excellent. Prices are reasonable. Must go again
Very slow hostess. Food and service below average. Had to walk on the street to a separate building to be seated????

A group of 12 retirees got together for a wonderful afternoon. They have a reasonable lunch special with a lot of choices. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. We were able to enjoy each other's company without be rushed out. Great food, service in a relaxing atmosphere. It was a great to see each other while savoring a delicious meal in this fabulous restaurant!
Everything was fresh and tasty! The waitress could have been a bit more attentive, but she may have had a few too many tables to serve. We felt the prices were about 10% higher than they should have been.
Great place for food. We were a table of 5, we were seated right away. Their lunch prix fixe menu was great! 3 courses for $25. Their Ceasar salad and Tuna Tartare was good. Their Carbonara, Pollo Piccara, Pollo Parmigiana, and Burger with Fries were all excellent. Their Margarita Pizza was kid approved! Tiramisu and Vanilla Gelato were excellent as well. Highly recommend this place. It's not loud, you can actually have a conversation and not yell over the music which is so nice. The staff is very attentive and super nice.

We hosted our son's rehearsal dinner at Arte Cafe for 70 guests and the Welcome Party immediately after for 200 and the evening was absolute perfection! The food was incredible, the service could not have been better, and every detail that goes along with an evening like that was executed with precision! The planning process leading up to our event was so smooth, with the team helping us every step of the way and thinking of details that we had not thought of ourselves. We would highly recommend Arte Cafe if looking for a venue for any event!

Cute local neighborhood spot with standout service!
Killer happy hour as well with a lot of options.
The food was good as well (oysters were super fresh, tuna tartare was really good too and a generous portion. Pizza not to our liking but a different style)

This used to be our favorite spot in the city. After many years, today i returned to meet with a colleague for lunch and this place continue to be awesome. The food is amazing. Great quality, big portions and prices continue to be affordable.
Update: We went there today for a small family celebration and EVERYONE loved the food and the service.

I've been going to Arte Cafe for years. They used to give you focaccia bread which was a highlight and they took it away and it's gotten very expensive. And the waitress was horrible. We had to call the manager a couple of times who was very nice and effective. The waitress started getting nice during tip time.

We had a large group lunch (26 people) at Arte Cafe and it was fantastic. The food was very good and very reasonably priced, and the tiramisu was phenomenal! The managers were super flexible and accommodated our constantly changing number of attendees. Service was great. We especially appreciated the private room they gave us and that they let us order from the normal lunch menu. I highly recommend Arte Cafe, especially for groups.
