It was a great experience just off the transit line in the NYU neighborhood. We went around 4:30 on a Thursday, so we were not busy with dine-in traffic, but the service staff was most helpful. They were out of a few varieties, but they had a lot of choices, so we just picked something different. There are two tables for dine-in, so most people probably do take-out. It's worth a visit.
There's a huge selection of vegan pizza here and it's open very late. There are usually about eight different kinds of vegan pizza, available by the slice. The vegan pizza here is excellent. Conveniently located in the center of Greenwich Village, half a block from the West 4th Street subway. Only two tables are here (each fits four people). A little more than half the time, one table is free. If you really want a table and both tables are filled here, you can walk across the street to the iconic Ben's Pizza which now carries a vegan slice (just plain cheese pizza) and always has an empty table. Ben's is not nearly as good for vegans, though their plain vegan cheese slice is perfectly fine. Artistic is hugely better, and I'd say it is one of the top vegan pizza places in NYC, even though they sell non-vegan slices as well.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan slice options, already made and available by the slice.
I know the perfect place to get cheap, delicious pizza and have a great time! This spot is perfect for hanging out and immersing yourself in the neighborhood vibe. You're guaranteed to be satisfied with your order and it's my absolute favorite spot to go to on a Saturday night. Plus, their vegan options are absolutely amazing! I can't wait to go back and have another slice soon.
