Cozy place, relaxed, ideal for a gathering with someone in a relax ambience.
Nice classic Italian food, the sauce for each dish was my favorite.

a quaint hole in the wall with great Bronzino - they asked if I wanted it whole of filet - then which sauce so I added lemon caper piccata style . and amazing . Come with Broccoli rabe & fresh bread. Best 31$ I ever spent. Overall
A meal will still cost 50$ after tax and tip which is normal in nyc these days but the Ambiance is nothing special. I wouldn’t go here for a fancy night out nor would I overdress. no city view - the outside is on the sidewalk with no enclosed area to protect u. Dim & quiet. didn’t feel rushed to leave and came with complimentary dessert biscuit that would be served with coffee, that was a cute little touch. My moms favorite restaurant if I’m being honest

Literally the best food and service I’ve had in the city. Frank who plays drums is awesome and overall the experience is the best.

This was a great dining experience.

Ambiance: the restaurant is big but still gives off the cozy vibe. They have an upstairs and downstairs area for seating. I personally like the upstairs because it’s darker and has more of an intimate vibe. The downstairs area is well lit and creates a more friendly/big group vibe.

Drinks: They have a full bar and can make most cocktails. They also have a great wine selection that is fairly reasonably priced.

Food: When you sit down they give you fresh celery, carrot sticks, and olives. It’s a great starter. After you order they give you freshly baked, hot bread. It was so good and their olive oil was the perfect compliment.
As vegetarians, the pasta option didn’t appeal to us exactly and the restaurant was very accommodating. They made us our own versions and we very much appreciated that. The pasta sauce tasted super fresh. I think the last time I had such fresh pasta sauce was in Italy. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was on point - it didn’t taste bland or over seasoned.
They gave us delicious Italian cookies for dessert.

A dinner at Arturo’s is an experience not to be missed - the ambience, staff, food, and history of the restaurant come together to make a truly memorable night. There isn’t a thing on the menu that will disappoint! We loved the tri color salad, carbonara, and bolognese.

When we lived on the upper east side before relocating, Arturo’s was a staple of ours. The owner Josephine and her husband always make you feel right at home each and every time you go in. Whenever I’m back in the city I always make it a point to visit them and enjoy their food.
