Zero ⭐️!’I went there about an hour ago to get gelato after standing there for 5 mins two ladies said someone will be right with you. I waited for another 15 mins no one came! I saw a lady peep through the door and still did not came out to help me. The service here is terrible! Zero stars!

A charming, stylish, and quirky throwback to a more elegant age. Worth visiting just so you can tell people about it.

Such a beautiful spot! Great cappuccino and pastries. Very nice service. Loved the atmosphere
The premium gelato is back available again and the quality is excellent. There have dairy free flavors available. Highly recommended.

The first time I came to this place was in January and the experience at the speakeasy was ok. The sandwiches were fine and the service was ok too.
Yesterday I took my parents for a quick lunch after the museum, and the whole experience was terrible.
First, the service was very poor, it seemed that the manager wasn’t happy with a group of Latinos (my parents don’t speak fluentEnglish) visiting their restaurant.
The food was terrible, the sandwiches were very dry, the chicken schnitzel wasn’t fresh, and the tuna sandwich seemed like canned tuna.
Not what you would expect from a restaurant of this area. This is a place where if you don’t fit their criteria, they treat you as if you don’t belong there.
I felt so embarrassed with my parents, out of all the amazing places I could’ve taken them since they were visiting me in NYC, I took them to this place, and the entire experience left us extremely disappointed and as if we had thrown our monyin the trash.
The worst part is that this is not the first review questioning their treatment of BIPOC that you’ll find here.
If you happen to be anything other than a white-passing individual, I’d definitely skip it and go somewhere else.

Looks like a bar but has decent sitting behind… Americans seemed to shout at each other rather than talk normally - not cheap but

Tried their latte and Nutella crepe. I am pleased to say I enjoyed both. They were excellent and the quality in service was great. Both ladies were kind and professional and attended me quickly and were attentive. I am definitely going to return.

I ate breakfast here with my family and it was brilliant! Everyone had a lovely meal! I had the french toast and it was hands down the best french toast that I’ve ever had! The rest of my family got the chocolate chip pancakes, the shakshouka and the grilled halloumi and avocado, all of which was enjoyed throughly. The service was very good as well. I will definitely try to return here when I’m next in NYC

Restaurantji Recommends
Went to this Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. Waiter was nice but food took forever. The inside/speakeasy > food.
This place left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered two pastries and decided to sit outside with my kid to enjoy the beautiful day. When we got there the place was empty. After we sat other patrons were strolling in. I’m sitting minding my business only to see the manager or owner looking at me only for 5 mins later the server asked us to leave because other ppl wanted to sit where I was sitting. He apologizes and says his boss told him to do this. I was shocked and appalled at the rudeness of the “manager” or “owner”. Was she rushing us because I was a POC? I don’t know but the way she was looking at me makes me wonder! I would definitely never recommend this place unless you want dirty looks. I only have one star for the well mannered and superb server! This establishment doesn’t deserve him!The pastries were also mediocre. No wow factor whatsoever like the owners face.

Atelier provides very good Middle Eastern & Levant lunch sandwiches in both an indoor & outdoor seating area. I had the SHISH TAOUK sandwich, which consisted of grilled boneless chicken plus a variety of middle eastern humuses in a flaky flour wrap. It tasted good, as did the side salad. A good choice of a meal when traveling to the nearby Museum Mile sites, such as the Cooper-Hewett Design Museum.
