While the Atera app is pretty good, their customer support sucks! If you use this product, don't expect to get customer support.

Atera, a 2 Michelin star gem in Manhattan, offers a refined fine dining experience where every detail is meticulously crafted. From the exquisite ingredients to the flawless technique, each dish showcases culinary mastery. The ambience strikes a perfect balance between cozy and luxurious, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. While the desserts may not steal the spotlight like the savory dishes, they still complement the overall experience. With a stellar sommelier and wonderful savory offerings, Atera ensures a consistently exceptional dining experience, making it a must-visit for discerning food enthusiasts.

Well, the team doesn’t seems pleasure tonight. (It is possible due to our group is late for 30 mins, we do feel very guilty about it). I’m appreciated our server, Kate keep her smiling for whole night. For the food, only king crab under starter; wagyu and squab under main course and all the dessert meet our expectation. For me, those dessert are pretty outstanding especially marshmallow/coconut. I prefer to give 3.5 star for the rating, and it barely worth to try.

We came here for my husband's birthday dinner. The staff were courteous and friendly. The dishes were all beautiful and delicious except for that one scallop dish. I took a bite and tasted some sand. I thought it was something else, but it was the unmistakable, unwelcome crunch of sand. It would have been my favorite dish except for that part. Everything else was perfect but this kind of ruined the experience for me. I hope no one else experiences this again.

The chefs and staff are great, don’t get me wrong, but the food isn’t that great. It’s all prepared very well, but half of the courses just taste weird or terrible. This isn’t a “unrefined” palate issue, it’s just weird dishes. I’ve done other fine dining for both French and Japanese, and those were much more tolerable if not outright delicious even if the dishes were exotic.None of the dishes were very protein centric besides the wagyu. The squab was just weird. Some of the puréed vegetable stuff was just outright nasty. I don’t cream of ? baby food. The textures in a lot of dishes was poor. Lots of mushy and slimy. The flavors are often a bit confusing. One of the dishes caviar just overpowers everything, and in another truffle does. The desert was fantastic however, and the birthday desert I saw one of the other guests eating looked great too. Definitely loved the desserts. The other thing is, can I just get a sprite lmao? I don’t drink, the temperance pairing seemed a bit too vegetable juice like for me (not a huge fan), and while the tea looked fantastic, I’m a uk style tea drinker.TLDR; I’m sure all the dishes are technically pretty cool and well done given their stars, I didn’t leave going “this was the best food I’ve tasted”, I left going “what even were those dishes” which bravo if you’re going for that, but I’d like yummy food. I’ve seen some other menus from different dates that looked a lot of better than mine (mid march).

Food is fantastic, ambiance is strange because you would think there would be more interaction with the chefs by sitting literally in the kitchen with the chefs but there was zero interaction. The atmosphere was disconnected as they played jam band music yet the chefs looked concerned, inquisitive and unhappy most of the time. As a guest, you have no agency towards the pace of the meal, if you take your time enjoying the food, the staff will take away offerings towards the end of the meal such as coffee and tea. They cleaned up the whole kitchen as we were finishing out last dinner course. Overall, the experience kind of made me feel like a lab rat in a fine dining lab experiment.

I had an amazing time at this restaurant! The ambiance was fantastic, with great music adding to the atmosphere. The staff, especially the sommelier, were incredibly professional and friendly. Their knowledge and passion for wine added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with top-notch service.

Absolutely love this place. Incredible, innovative food, excellent wine pairings, and attentive yet approachable service. They deserve 3 Michelin stars as opposed to the 2 that they have now. The small counter makes for an intimate dining experience. Put this at the top of your list.

Fine dining taken to another level. I have not come across a place more innovative than Atera. Many fine dining places love to throw caviar, uni, and foie gras onto their dishes then charge exorbitant amounts of money. Atera incorporates these ingredients with such finesse. It is one of the only fine dining places that I come back to over and over again.

GET the crab tartare! It's not on the menu but if you ask poliety the waiter will oblige. It took me 3 different weiters to finally get it but by god was it worth it. Perhaps the best meal I've had and I've eaten at numerous Michelin restaurants over my years. 5 stars!

Before I came here I thought the foods here won’t be that different from other Michelin stars but i ended up liking the foods here a lot. From the first bite till the last , soo goodIt’s a must come back for me hereOnly one thing i don’t really feel comfortable is that they have too many workers around everywhere. But the service was great though
