Food is very good if you don't mind chef taking naps with loud snoring over all the place. Very annoying

Outstanding chinese food. I have been about 6 times now and tried something different every time. Every dish has been excellent. Highly recommended.

This is the single most solid choice of Chinese food near Columbia. The thing with Chinese restaurants is that it is hard to maintain the same level of performance when it comes to cooking quality as time goes by. Atlas Kitchen has never underperformed, not even once, and I have been dining there consistently since before Pandemic.

Memorable Chinese food. Nearly everything we ate was very satisfying. The Spicy tofu, wood ear mushrooms, and century eggs were excellent starters. The Mapo Tofu was great. The fish filet in chili oil was special.

Quality has gone down from a year ago. Too many peppers and less protein in every dish. Plus food has made me sick 2 times and my friend 1 time.

Amazing food, friendly service. One of my favorite places in the neighborhood! It's very quiet when Columbia students are on vacation. Don't let that deter you, good is great! Just dont order from the American chinese section.

Been meaning to try here for a while because of the preorder chef's special menu items. The century egg is prepared well without the ammonia smell. Drypot cauliflower is great, as well as the knife work on the pineappled squid. Was not big fan of the goat, bit chewy. Liked the ribbon fish, most of the table were not fans cause not used to the bones fillets. Good service, dishes came out pretty fast.

They made us wait for 30 min to have all the people there and then told us they have all the tables reserved. So idiotic

Food was fine, but the service was abysmal and couldn’t answer questions that we had about the menu, which led us to some pretty poor choices.

Also this is a place that you show up to with 3-4 friends, and you share everything. It isn’t conveyed on the menu, or website, that this is exclusively a shared plate restaurant, but it absolutely is.

I ordered takeout — stir-fried pork trotters. There were pitifully few trotters; it was mostly chili peppers. The fish with tofu was also pretty mediocre — the texture of the fish was grainy, which was weird. You even have to buy rice separately. Overall, very poor value for money.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in UWS, or even in NYC. Food is very close to authentic Chinese food. Will go there again.

I waited two years to revisit this lovely restaurant. Around the corner from St John Divine and down the road from MET cloisters It’s a perfect spot for fresh hot soup and veggies along with heaping servings of animal protein. They do allot of take out however the restaurant seating is clean and well maintained. We will be back.

Vegetarian options: Veggies were fresh not over cooked, crisp and delicious.
