I ordered takeout — stir-fried pork trotters. There were pitifully few trotters; it was mostly chili peppers. The fish with tofu was also pretty mediocre — the texture of the fish was grainy, which was weird. You even have to buy rice separately. Overall, very poor value for money.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in UWS, or even in NYC. Food is very close to authentic Chinese food. Will go there again.

I waited two years to revisit this lovely restaurant. Around the corner from St John Divine and down the road from MET cloisters It’s a perfect spot for fresh hot soup and veggies along with heaping servings of animal protein. They do allot of take out however the restaurant seating is clean and well maintained. We will be back.

Vegetarian options: Veggies were fresh not over cooked, crisp and delicious.

Had been there for dinner. Literally no service, even no a smile from any of the staffs when you stepped in , they looked impatient to customers. The restroom was unclean . If their food was great and outstanding, all those above were not important . But in fact there is nothing special about their food , which means the service and environment are took into account when rating them. Ordered short-necked clams , found out sand in each bite. Also rice noodles soup, there was literally no soup just noodles with no taste with a price of 18.95. Don’t recommend .

The best scallion pancake! Try the braised pork belly! Sautéed eggplant with chili was to die for. Mapo tofu is decadent and hot.

Vegetarian options: Vegan options: Sautéed bok choy, mapo tofu, sautéed eggplant. Also a bunch of vegetarian dishes

Ordered for takeout, general tso’s chicken tastes like somewhere between sweet+sour and duck sauce, dan dan noodles are not terrible but just noodles with vague hints of sesame and spice, and the potstickers were just below average. Wouldn’t normally leave a bad review but it’s making mine and my girlfriend’s stomachs REALLY hurt for some reason. I’d advise against eating those dishes if you come here ?

Just had an unforgettable dining experience at Atlas Kitchen in the Upper West Side, right near Columbia University. This place is a true gem! ?
The restaurant’s massive space and stunning decor are inspired by mountains and the sea, making it a feast for the eyes before you even take your first bite. The ambiance is just perfect for a special night out or a cozy meal with friends or a big party. Atlas Kitchen serves up a mix of classic Chinese, Hunanese, and Sichuan cuisines, and every dish is a work of art. From the vibrant flavors to the exquisite presentation, it’s clear they put a lot of love into their food. ?️?
I highly recommend checking out this spot if you’re in NYC.

We were completely ignored from the time we entered the restaurant and were eventually seated to just before the moment we got up from our table and left. No one ever came over to offer us drinks or to take our order, and when we asked the waiter whether we should just leave, they simply said yes with no apology and we did. Amazing.

This is one of my local go-to spots. I frequently order takeout from Atlas Kitchen and in my latest order, their sliced beef in red chili soup had a large bug in it. (As pictured.) I was obviously horrified, and contacted the restaurant. I left my contact to a server and asked for the owner to reach out but they've been radio silent. In addition to the obvious hygienic issue, I'm disappointed in the restaurant that they don't care enough to call back a regular.

Some of the best Chinese food in NYC.
Outside of ChinaTown. Best scallion pancakes I've ever had.

The food was fairly good, but bland (with one exception - the clams actually had a decent amount of spice), and service was inattentive and barely pleasant. The space could use some attention. I'd eat here if I lived nearby, but wouldn't make the trip uptown for it.
