I've ordered many things on the menu both in person and for takeout. My favorite is the short ribs with baked beans and Mac and cheese. The other ribs they have are very dry. I do like the variety of different BBQ sauces they offer and the service is great with a very casual vibe if you're dining in. Overall a great staple I go here once a month!

The best BBQ for the price point! While us Yankees don't specialize in BBQ like the durty south, we have some things to be proud of. One of those above average bbq joints is Au jus, an Oklahoma style bbq spot. The one on the east side (Lexington ave) is tucked away in a cramped store front area, with some occasional vermin on the sidewalk, but the vibe is cozy and clean. Once inside, you will be struck by the smell of brisket and pork. Good smells too! We had the brisket platter with cornbread, it did not disappoint. Alittle on the dry side, but still delicious. The sides were also great, not an after thought. The Mac and cheese is worth trying, as is the cole slaw; They take it easy on the Mayo! Overall, the meat was not over salty and paired well with the Oklahoma Gold bbq sauce. Worth the price and effort to get here!

The menu looks amazing but the food did not deliver . Small portions. Taste ok but nothing unique whatsoever. Nothing comes with a sandwich. You need to buy the sides a la carte and when the bill comes it's pretty high for what you get. With tip I was at $30 for a chicken sandwich on a hamburger bun half a container of fries and a little expresso cup of string beans.

Cookies were stale, sandwich was too dense and dry, sweet potato pie tasted like they just bought it at Key Foods and resold it for twice the price. None of their stuff is freshly made. Nowhere close to how they used to be a couple years ago.

I'm here on 10/9/23. Waiting over 30 minutes for sliders and French fries. The cashier clocked out about 20 minutes ago and apparently the system crashed. She failed to write down the orders resulting in a bunch of us here with a stressed kitchen.
Cute restaurant, seats about 3 parties or 10 people. A bit more seating outside. I have ordered to go food a few times now, meat is always tender, smoked and flavorful, delicious baked beans and tasty kale sautée. Friendly staff who know and like the menu. Nice portions. You are gonna love the food! Sauces are ok, could be better. The ribs and the brisket are the stars here, plus they let you add on ribs one by one to your order! Sorry for my picture I was tearin my plate up!EDIT: Ate there again and their to go boxes are strong, everything is always well packaged, lots of sauces and I love the horseradish sauce it cools down the spicy sauces. Great food nice staff.Kid-friendliness: Mature menu, high chairs inside. No kid menu options but staff is nice and I am sure they will hook a kid up. More of a place for adults, teens.Parking: Don’t park here. Avoid bringing vehicle here it’s hard for parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside seating has ramp. Restaurant street level entrance, double doors needs no ramp but entry is tight, 90 degree angle.

I’ve been ordering from this place for a while and the quality has fortunately been consistent every-time. The meat is juicy and the food overall tasty! And they have such a variety that you don’t bored much…I do tend to stick to my favorites of beef ribs with kale and mac and cheese. I also REALLY like their cheese fries with bacon and their okie nachos. Thumbs up, for real.

The quality of food at restaurant on the upper West side has dropped tremendously. Oh my God you should see the prices of the pie.Beef Rib Tips, pork ribs. I can't get over insulting slices of sweet potato pie.
