Their pick up window is so hit or miss. Just waited 10 minutes in the rain for someone to even answer. Unreal.
Everthing is 10/10 from food to staff. Food is very tasty

We are frequent customers, but today was truly something else. Normally our visits are not this special, but Amelia completely changed our experience. This Midtown location is my favorite, and even though we live in New Jersey, we still make this trip to Auzatar every 3 months because it’s always worth the trip.
But today stood out in the best way. Amelia went above and beyond with her service — she was kind, patient, and incredibly attentive. She made us feel valued and comfortable from start to finish.
We love Amelia so much that we will be coming back with friends and family — but only on the days Amelia is here! She is truly exceptional and made our visit unforgettable.

Au Za’atar in Midtown is hands-down one of the best Lebanese spots in Manhattan — and honestly some of the best food you’ll find anywhere in the city. Tucked into Midtown East, it delivers that rare combo of big, bold Lebanese flavor and a polished but cozy vibe.

We have been loyal frequent customers of this restaurant and normally have a wonderful experience. Last night, however, we were really disappointed. One appetizer arrived only after we had finished the entire meal, and when we asked to return it, the manager, Marisa, insisted on charging us and became argumentative. There was no apology for the delay or acknowledgment of the mistake. We care about this restaurant and want it to thrive, so I hope management takes this seriously. The food is great, but the service needs attention.

Meat was flavorful. Unfortunately we experienced very poor service. Our waiter forgot to place our order, so we waited around 1.5 hours for our food. I expected a comp in the bill, but nothing. Can’t recommend, and don’t plan to come back. I think they survive off the gimmick of the table side shawarma.

Amazing food and service. Our server, Kyle, was attentive, friendly, patient and super helpful answering menu questions and offered recommendations. I would definitely come again and highly recommend this restaurant. Two thumbs up!

I wanted to share my disappointment with my experience today. Before parking my car, I went inside to confirm that there was a table available for a party of four. After parking and returning with my family, I was told there was suddenly no space, and that the only table available would be needed within an hour for a reservation.
This is not the level of communication or customer service I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. It was inconvenient and frankly embarrassing to be turned away after receiving verbal confirmation just moments earlier.
I hope you can look into this issue so future guests don’t have a similar experience.
This place is one of the best lebanese food in the City of Manhattan period .

We had dinner at Au Za’atar in Midtown East for a friend’s birthday, and the whole night just worked. Great food, great energy, and one of those rare moments where everyone actually manages to reconnect without the usual chaos.
And look — the reason it all came together was Amelia. She was fantastic. Friendly, sharp, completely on top of everything without hovering. She made the birthday feel personal for my friend and her husband, and she kept the whole table running like we were her top priority.
If you go, ask for Amelia. A night out is only as good as the person steering the ship, and she made ours genuinely special.

My only regret is that I don’t have a bigger stomach so that I could try more dishes from Au Za’atar. It’s both familiar and comforting yet different enough to feel like I’m having a truly unique experience. Our server Amelia was a joy! Go to Au Za’atar!
