This is a hidden gem in Chinatown ! My oldest is obsessed with strawberry shortcake! I wanted to go all out for the big 19. I went with my middle son and placed an order. The next day on his official birthday I took my oldest and he was blown away how beautiful the cake was. We both were surprised about real fruits on top. I plan to be back my youngest son birthday!
Delicious and fresh pastries at a classic Chinese bakery! Their chicken sandwich is generously stuffed and filled with tender meat. I also enjoyed their egg tart, which leans on the creamier side as opposed to more “solid” custard tarts. There are 6-7 seats in the shop, good atmosphere and service as well (bilingual in English and Mandarin). As most Chinese bakeries are, everything was super affordable, and I was able to purchase a bag of 7 pastries for only $15.
Received a cake from this bakery and enjoyed it! It was their coffee and walnut cake- the cake tasted fresh and moist, mildly sweet (which is great because some cakes are too sweet) and the coffee flavor was moderate. There were strawberries, cookies, and walnuts on the cake, which also made it very good. I think it would taste better without the walnuts inside the cake though. I will try their other cake selections next time I'm in the area.
