I got the brioche filled with pastry cream which is the shape of a hoagie but unequivocally more supreme
Merveilleux are wonderful little clouds that melt in your mouth. Super light and airy meringue, delicious flavor. It’s amazing how delicate and soft they are.

A must have. The chocolate chip brioche melts in your mouth. Service is quick and there is some indoor seating. Pastries were fresh out of the oven and still warm!

I absolutely love this place. Every single thing I have tried has been exquisite. Their brioche is out of this world. If it was closer, I would come back every day.

Aside from the marathon madness Angie from the Lexington location provided exceptional service & recommendation of the flavorful turkey sandwich I had; a healthier alternative than the previous ham option. I will be returning to this location for its warm service.

I stopped here as I know the store from my trips Paris, where I bought a huge cramique with chocolate chips in the past.
Unfortunately, here the size is waaaaay smaller and look at what I see when I get to eat my treat. There are no chocolate chips inside. 😕 5 euro, tip included, for such a disappointment.
If you've tried the Parisienne store, do not come here to ruin your memory.
The staff was looking forward to getting out of there and felt almost an inconvenience that I stopped by.

Aux Merveilleux de Fred, located in NYC’s Greenwich Village, is a patisserie renowned for its airy meringue-based pastries known as “Merveilleux.” These treats feature layers of light meringue and whipped cream, coated with toppings like chocolate shavings or caramelized nuts, creating a delicate and satisfying dessert. The bakery’s signature creations have a melt-in-the-mouth quality that has become a favorite for many patrons.
Alongside the Merveilleux, other highlights include their croissants, which are often praised for their buttery flakiness and authentic French taste. The shop has a charming, Parisian-inspired atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting, making it a popular stop for those seeking a sweet escape in NYC. Service is generally regarded as warm and efficient, with staff eager to share their passion for these unique French desserts. Though prices are somewhat premium, most visitors find the quality and experience well worth it .

Take out only. Very fresh croissants and other bread rolls and pastries. Great coffee. Find a bench in nearby Jane Street Garden to enjoy it or take a batch home.

One bite and the fluffy meringue like cream disappears quickly. Such a delightful tiny pastry needs to ve enjoyed slowly which I tried to do. I could have eaten a few more!

The croissants are ok. I've had a few better croissants in the area (like Brooklyn French Bakery).
