From the moment I stepped inside, I was completely transported to Morocco. The décor was absolutely stunning — every detail, from the lanterns to the woodwork, created such an authentic and warm atmosphere.

The food was phenomenal — truly the best Moroccan cuisine I’ve ever had outside of Morocco! Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell everything is made with love and tradition.

What really made the evening magical was the entertainment. The live Moroccan guitar player set the perfect mood, and the belly dancer was mesmerizing — full of energy, grace, and joy. It felt like a full cultural experience, not just a dinner.

If you’re looking for incredible food, beautiful surroundings, and a night to remember, this place is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!

Ayah Restaurant NYC is amazing! The food is a perfect mix of French and Moroccan cuisine — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The vibe at night is unbeatable — warm lighting, great music, and an overall fun, lively atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant, good food, terrible service. Do not go for a group dinner. They have a very strict 2 hour time limit—to the point that we felt hustled and rushed. And for such an expensive place, that’s you should be able to take your time a bit more. Our group was about 25 people, so naturally even drink orders took 15 min. When the waiter came to take my drink order, I had just gotten the menu and I was sure so I asked “can I have a minute?” And he straight up said “No.” ‘No’ is not a word on hospitality. I told him to go to the other end of the table and come back to me. The bigger problem was that the wait staff clearly knew that no one would be able to scrutinize the bill and they brought over a bunch of things that no one ordered (a second round of drinks for some people that they didn’t order, fruity shots that no one wanted or drank, a bottle of champagne that a waiter poured into people’s mouths and spilled on everyone). All of these additions made for an obscene bill that came out to $195 pp, which is stupid and way beyond what it should have been considering we ordered family style for the large group. If they had let us stay and enjoy, I would be less bothered. But to cram all of that into the limited time, sneak in a bunch of extra drinks to rack up a higher bill, and then literally kick us out of the table so they could turn it was pure greed and extremely tacky/distasteful. There are hundreds of other restaurants in the city with beautiful decor and good food that know how to host guests and respect big groups (not take advantage that no one is checking their work). I will be going to those rather than going back to Ayah.

Stepping into Ayah instantly feels like a little escape to Marrakech. The space is warm, intimate, and beautifully designed, every detail draws you in.

The service was superb, so attentive and genuinely kind. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was so good and beautifully presented.

The Moroccan tea service, prepared right at the table, truly adds to the magic of the experience. Watching it being poured felt like the perfect finale to an already incredible meal.

Ayah is a must-go!!!

We had the most amazing dinner at Ayah. The team made us feel really welcome. We came with our 3 year old son for a early diner, and everyone was incredibly friendly and caring, which made the evening even more enjoyable for us as a family. Our waitress Camille was wonderful, and Arnaud, the captain, ensured every detail was perfect, his professionalism and charm really alevated the experience.

The food was exceptional. My wife is Moroccan, and she was really impressed by the quality and authenticity of every dish. It felt like a real taste of home for her, which says a lot.

The decor is really stunning, with a lot of details that really re-create that Moroccan ambiance.

Ayah is a true gem. We can’t wait to come back!

I am from the service industry and usually I never leave a negative review.
I was so excited to come to this restaurant for my husband’s birthday but service took too long to greet us and we felt completely ignored. The concept of the restaurant is nice if you looking to enjoy a club style night. Food was sub-part, the drink in the lamp is overpriced, fries came out cold, It was not a pleasant dining experience.
