Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Ordered the jellof rice w/ lamb and it was DELICIOUS — their homemade juices are a must have as well. And that puff-puff *chefs kiss.* 10/10 across the board with their lovely and beautiful staff. 😊

I had never tried West African food before, but the server helped me decide on a dish for my maiden voyage. She also told me about the history of the restaurant and how the owner filled the menu with his fave dishes from childhood.

I settled on the jollaf rice with branzino. It was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

Azara has quickly become one of my favorite places in the city. The food is 100/10 everytime and Mr. Ousmane is soo welcoming and always smiling Mashallah. My standard order is dibi lamb, jollof, plantain and bissap 🤤 and everytime it buss.

These awesome folks were kind enough to take a late night Galentine’s reservation for myself and 5 friends. We ordered the Branzino (2), jollof rice, spinach, sticky wings, quinoa salad, Alfredo chicken, and plantains. My goodness. Everything was stellar! Service was friendly and timely. The owner was kind enough to gift of three desserts: the tiramisu, carrot cake, and the creme brûlée. So good! And what a sweet gesture. Proud to have spots like this in my neighborhood.

Incredible food at an affordable price! The staff was really friendly and they even gave us free drinks which was super sweet. The jollof rice was to die for. Definitely check them out for some amazing West African eats!

Did this fish and fufu make me a lil teary eyes? 😳 🥹 my barber is 2 blocks from here so I’ve been walking past this place for a while, but one hungry day I decided to check it out and it’s now my post-haircut ritual. The the service (noticed when I needed a place for the bones, brought me more sauce to finish my fufu), the foooood, the music…come. :)

The food was so yummy I ate half of it before getting a photo! It was my first time eating West African food and I will definitely be back to explore the menu more. Service was great, staff was super kind, and the food was so so delicious.

EDIT- I came back a week later because I was so excited to explore more of the menu: first time trying fufu- I went with cassava and lamb/okra stew- and it exceeded my expectations. I even got to try the hibiscus and pineapple juice- WONDERFUL. I’m convinced you can’t go wrong here.

If you want to try something delicious and new, this is the spot!
