This is such a wonderful neighborhood spot. The moules frîtes are always great Tonight I had the cod instead which was also very good. The choice of beers, ales and other alcoholic libations is extensive. Service is always top notch

Nice ambiance, though the impression from the street. Good food, best waffles ever (coming back for them), very good value, excellent service!.

Took 20 mins to be able to place an order or even be served water...and we were the only customers.

I have been to B Cafe a few times and the service remains the issue. From the moment my group arrived (4 of us) to the time we left, the service was AWFUL. When we first arrived, no one greeted us and I had to find someone to take care of us (we had a reservation). We were sat in the back garden enclosed area and the woman who sat us seemed very annoyed to have to do so. We waited for about 20 minutes and when no one came over, I flagged down a server who appeared very bored and was just standing around looking at the tables. He took our orders and even the drinks took way too long to come (about 15 minutes). After about 45 minutes passed, we asked our server (once we could find him) where our food was and it arrived shortly thereafter. He apologized, but it was insincere. There were a few other tables of people, all of whom seemed quite frustrated with the lack of service. The food is mediocre, but I won't be back. 3 strikes and you're out!

A local, comfortable, hole in the wall that we enjoyed to the extent that its limited menu allowed.

Great dining experience!!! Warm and friendly neighborhood vibe. Interesting dining choices in both lunch and dinner options. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed dinner tonight. Service was excellent. Looking forward to next dining experience!!!

One of the best Belgian cafes around! The brunch is just amazing and on point every time! Excellent Belgian beer selection that is hard to get elsewhere. Their samurai sauce is just the best. Their little backyard area is so cute and warm even in winter.

I moved to the Upper East Side a few months ago and quickly discovered B Cafe since it's right below my building. The ambiance immediately caught my attention, and after five months of dining there, I can confidently say it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city—if not *the* favorite. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with friends. And the food? Absolutely exceptional. You can tell they put real care into every dish, whether for dine-in or takeout. I’ve recommended B Cafe to my friends, many of whom are now loyal customers. In fact, I’m planning to eat there tonight!

Food was ok, I had the Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon and it came with absolutely no dressings of any kinds. No butter, no syrup, nothing. I couldn’t get my servers eye to save my life so I was stuck with this dry waffle. Speaking of service, I asked about a beer list (it’s a Belgian place after all!) and was told that they didn’t have one? Turns out they do, and I had to find it online to order something that wasn’t on tap. We also had to flag her down to order another drink after we sat around for a while. The other issue was that we were sat outside in their heated backyard, but the heat was questionable and I couldn’t feel my feet by the end of it. So, over all, so so.

Solid brunch spot but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again. The food was fresh and tasteful. However, I was disappointed with the waffle because it gets a lot attention in the reviews and there are even signs around the restaurant but it was just fine. The service was attentive but almost too attentive at some point there were like 3 different servers asking us what we wanted to order, if we were ok, if we wanted the check, it was overwhelming and might even say it detracted from the experience. I personally really enjoyed the egg sandwich with fries whereas some of the others in our group were not as excited about their meals including the steak sandwich and eggs Benedict.

Great place to hang out. Love the cocktails and service. Among food I tried only sandwich and French fries. It was fine.

Yes, for moule/frites lovers in Nyc. Large, hot mussels in a large pot with delicious broth. The fries were ok too. Three small pots of sauce. I would have liked more of that. Delicious Belgian beer. Cozy cellar restaurant with a beautiful back garden in summer

In the past I’ve mainly come here for their happy hour deals but this was my first time coming in for brunch. The eggs Benedict was good but honestly the frites and waffle really are what should make this place your next stop.

I was to meet a friend for brunch at another location. However, the wait was too long. So we started walking and found this location. We looked at the menu outside, and it was what we were looking for. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The decor of the location is beautiful, wished the service was as beautiful. We waited 20 minutes for a menu, and they only provided one. We had to ask the couple on the next table if we used theirs. We ordered our drinks, and it took 20 minutes to get. When they arrived with my friend food order, they had forgotten what my order was. Had to wait for my food, and my friend wanted to split her food with me becauseof the long wait. When the order arrived, it was wrong. It is a shame that the service does not reflect the space. Ownership should be looking into what is not working.
