The draft Belgian specialties are amazing. You can taste and the mixologist is exceptionally knowledgeable. We all five had different entrees and all were marvelous especially the mussels and chicken pot pie. Sit in the Garden if you can. It is so lovely and they will adjust the volume of the music so you can converse without shouting!

Great food and wonderful selection of beers. Service is good. The place is small, but it is comfortable and the staff is attentive.

35min wait for eggs benedict?! Crazy! I had half the portion of fries my friend had and mine were all soggy. The line for the bathroom was very long, the restaurant was extremely hot and it smelled of BO. Our waitress was sweaty and wiping her face regularly.. not the most pleasant experience

The food here is really good and most of the waiters are really nice. But this one waiter, an older gentleman, was a real jerk. We were sitting at an outdoor table with our dog because it says the place was dog friendly. We were literally the only people sitting outside there were no other customers. Our dog was just sitting in our lap. She wasn't barking or going near the table or causing any trouble. And this older wait came out and said "put your dog on the ground. Unbelievable". He then came back outside 2 or 3 times just to stare at us and shake his head disapprovingly. Super weird. Super uncomfortable. And it's a shame because the food was great and the other waiters were nice but this one guy ruined our brunch with his childish behavior. He wasn't technically our main waiter I'm actually not sure what his job was. Maybe he was kitchen staff but he just helped deliver certain dishes to tables. Anyway, this guy should not be around customers. What a jerk.

Booked the place for a birthday lunch for my son. The downstairs dining room was very pleasant. We would have sat in the back garden but it was a bit chilly. The mussels were outstanding and they had several dishes that had at their base a Belgian waffle. We had two different kinds and both were excellent. Don't miss the Belgian beer on tap.

This is a fantastic neighborhood place. A true gem with a pleasant outdoor space, top-notch curated Belgian beer selection and the best burger and fries on the UES. Yes! It's true. Don't stand in line at other places. Make B. Cafe part of your regular rotation.

The mussels were delicious & unlike some other places they give you enough to share. The French fries are included & are made to perfection, crispy like they should be. The warm pretzel is my favorite appetizer & it's gigantic

We had brunch at this place, it was excellent!! We had our dog with us, so we sat outside, we did check the inside out and look forward to coming back. The food was excellent, and the service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive and courteous. They brought the pup water,!! We will definitely recommend it!!

Loved our dining experience here! Everyone was so friendly. The covered back patio seating was heated and had a romantic, European feel. Their warm pretzel is my favorite in the city! It’s soft and salted to perfection, and the cheese sauce is bomb. Not sure whether to dunk my pretzel in it or bathe in it ? The brussel sprouts were a hit — the right amount of crispiness and a good hint of maple. The mocktails were a really nice compliment to the meal. Try the caper mayo with your fries (fries come with most entrées). It’s the closest thing I’ve had to fry sauce on the east coast and it’s amazing. The fries here are really stellar! The Chicken Vol Au Vent is like a chicken pot pie but disassembled — warm & creamy with tender chicken. We loved it! The B. Café Waffle was light, crunchy, and the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal.

breakdown of my 4 star review: 3 stars on an average day but 5 stars for happy hour. everything pictured was part of happy hour - came to $40 total after tax+tip. know that happy hour ends strictly at 7pm!! dishes were made alright, nothing disappointed but no delightful surprises either! Brussel sprouts had good flavor but were a bit over cooked (visibly black). Croquettes were a bit dry and fell apart to touch, being a bit messy to eat. Can't go wrong with the fries! love how they give you variety of sauces to dip and have a fun time.
