B & H Dairy opened in 1938 and has been serving consistently delicious Eastern European comfort food ever since. It’s a vintage style, dairy kosher vegetarian lunch counter that’s open late. This place has been a favorite of mine for the last 17 years.

I love the mushroom and sauerkraut pierogis. They are stuffed so full of well-seasoned sauerkraut and mushroom, you won’t believe they stayed together, but they always do. Pierogis come fried or boiled...

Got the tuna cheese melt with borscht soup. Really enjoyed the soup but the tuna melt was very soggy and felt unseasoned. The challah also did not taste as flavorful as I hoped it would.

This Kosher dairy diner serves all vegetarian and fish dishes.

The perogies and knishes are very good. The borscht and vegetable soup are delicious.

The french toast is a nice treat.

The only thing here I ever disliked was the mac & cheese. It was flavorless and the macaroni was so soggy, it was softer than the cheese, and resembled glue paste.
It seems like it was sitting in a pot from noon until night.
