One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The ambience, service, food, drinks, and music were incredible. Drinks with a twist, Mera naam joker, hera pheri, and RRR were outstanding. Loved the food as well, chicken jalapeño and green peas kulchas, pani puri, butter chicken, and malai paneer pinwheel. Definitely would come back again without hesitation.

The restaurant has a really good vibe with good food. We reserved a table and it was easy check in and we were offered plenty of seating tables to choose from of our choice. We got a setting which was very private and what we were looking for. The ambiance is really good and finely detailed. Tried their mocktails and they were refreshing. The thing that needs improvement is service for which we had to couple of times wait for our server and find him around. Their Gajrela Ghewar desert is really good and a must try. Overall a great experience and they even lit up the candles for my wife’s birthday.

What an experience! Loved the food especially the dahi puri and pani puri! We had the holi special with 4 courses for $49! So many veg and non veg choices everything was super tasty!

We came here for office party. Ambience is great and food was also good. Drinks are delicious and we kept repeating them. We had ordered bunch of appetizers, main courses and everything was delicious. Nothing was too spicy but had good flavour. Naam was soft and fluffy! Desserts were good too. Filter Coffee cake was great. The servers were nice and attentive. Overall good food and great service!

My partner and I have gone to Baar Baar multiple times and it used to be our favorite. Our most recent visit was disappointing. Not sure if they have changed management, but the menu has changed quite a bit. The portions were quite small and most of the dishes were too sweet and lacked real spice.

Most recent visit (partner wanted to give them another chance): nothing has changed. The greeting hosts are rude and service is embarrassingly poor.Last review: Extremely bad service. Understaffed? Yeah maybe, but one should not have to wait 30 minutes for a glass of water. Especially if you’re going to charge 20$ for a drink.

Most easily among my top favourite restaurants in NYC. Indian is my favorite cuisine and they know what they are doing. It’s in the michelin guide for a reason. Quality of food and service is great and it was an extremely memorable meal.

Overpriced brunch menu where everyone must order minimums. Super unnecessary. Brunch got loud by someone singing quite terribly so the atmosphere became a bit annoying because the music was lovely till the singing started!

The food was delicious and they restaurant was really easy going and friendly despite us having a very large group with people arriving at different times due to flight delays. Highly recommend!

The food and drink was impeccable but what really made the experience memorable was our server Jas! Ambiance was on point and prices were great, coming back to Brooklyn JUST for this restaurant and experience.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior with high ceilings, blue seating, and antique lighting. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. While the presentation was lovely, portions were small and flavors were underwhelming. The spinach curry had a strong taste of raw spinach and the "kofta" was rock hard, the naans were overpriced for their size, and the desserts were forgettable. The tiny canape was just a glorified dahi poori - the raspberry flavor doesn't work. If this restaurant aims for a Michelin star, significant improvements in flavor are needed. Making portions smaller, improving presentation and charging more isn't the way to do it.

We left feeling hungry! Let's start off with the positives though: FANTASTIC service - our waiter gave us ample recommendations of drinks and plates to share. He even changed the music for us to Indian music after we made a funny comment about the 2010s pop remixes they were playing LOL The ambiance definitely gives off date night, with its dimmed lightning during dinner and louder music. They also have a fun cocktail menu, with names that are of popular Bollywood movies! The food was just okay and portions were small. We were a group of 4 and the waiter kept telling us to order more, indicating that we wouldn't be full with the dishes lol Our food also came out just warm, including our Butter Chicken, which was good, but nothing special. The orders of Naan Bread were yummy, but at a steep price for $8 each. My FAVORITE dish was the Potato Tikki Chat - each element of the dish complemented one another very well! Overall, I'm glad that I tried this trendy restaurant, however it's a place I'd come once. I can't justify the price we paid for the portions and how satiated (or lack thereof) we were afterwards. I'd opt for other Indian restaurants with a more affordable menu that's just as good and will leave you fuller.
