I admit, I am somewhat of a karaoke enthusiast and have visited many different karaoke establishments around the New York City area, but I always come back to the best. I always come back to Baby Grand. See you there!

Best karaoke in the city, especially in an open group setting! Fun to sing even if you can’t really (like me) but also a place to people watch some incredible talent!!! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Liz, Brian, VK, whoever is behind the bar will take good care of you. Double check hours on some weeknights.

Came here with a bunch of colleagues and we had the best time! About 20 of us crammed inside their biggest room (probably better for max 12 people if you all want to sit comfortable) but we were all dancing and having so much fun. The mic system was great and the iPad/tablet was super easy to use. Staff were super nice!

Minus two stars due to the fact that the staff wanted to hold our credit card for the entirety of our room rental, (the room was already pre booked so don’t understand why this was necessary?) and when they gave us a “ten minutes left” warning, did not return the card to us. Also the bartender forgot to give my friend’s card back to her. Obviously a shared responsibility to get the cards back but seems suspicious that it happened with two cards. Staff could have been more helpful.

My friend and I were asked to leave half way through our first drink. The bar tender looked quite drunk but enough to be coherent and ask us to leave. Suddenly. This may sound funny but it’s not as last time I was there the bartenders (who were white/female), kept asking my boyfriend/date if I were bothering him. I am black and has my hair in corn rows ( for once). My boyfriend is a white male. I let that go. And yesterday I was asked to leave. I am seeking counsel for legal action but I doubt the law protects me. But I would like the community in Union Square, Flat Iron and Gramercy to know what’s going on. I was quite shaken by the experience yesterday and last time it was quite traumatic also. Can you believe this is 2025? In New York City?! They are advertising this place as LGBTQ friendly. How in the world will they protect the community of this is what they do to people of color to being with?!
