The short Mexican woman's cashier ignores the customers while playing with her mobile phone.

I actually changed my review to 1 star bc the business was acting snooty. I gave bagel pub RAVE reviews. I gave this location a 5 star review. And then whoever handles their Google marketing thought it would be cute to gaslight me. my only point of contention - which wasn’t even really anything that should be noteworthy - was that i was nervous about getting bagels from a chain restaurant. they then retorted that they’re a mom & pop. i’ve seen two locations in the vicinity i walk on a day to day basis - one on university and one on 6th. I assumed there were other locations too so I said it was a chain. Even with saying that i PRAISED the bagels; experience, everything but the business thought it was necessary to call me out and - quite frankly - provide false info. You have two confirmed brick & mortar stores minimum. You have an entire “locations” tab on your website. You are not a small mom & pop. This is a “what not to do in marketing” 101. You had a 5 star rave review, but you had to be petty.
this is how to go from a 5 star rating to a 1 star rating.

don’t correct a customer when you’re wrong. maybe you’re a franchise. or your organization has sketchy operations but there are multiple bagel pub locations. do a google maps search. look at the attached photo. THERE ARE MULTIPLE LOCATIONS AKA A CHAIN. if you really want to lose a lifelong customer & brand advocate to “prove a point” you should not be in marketing.

Bagels are great. They tend to under toast. So if u like a nice crunch when u bite into it make sure u ask for it to be triple toasted.
Tuna is amazing! Chicken salad too. make a great BEC and really good lox too. Usually pop in once a week.

Such a cute spot. Perfect place to drop by while walking the neighborhood or strolling through Washington Park. My blueberry bagel was delicious. Cream cheese super creamy. Loved every bite! And the cold brew was super mild and tasty. Atmosphere was 10/10 - loved it.

Bagel Pub is the best spot I’ve tried in NYC for bagels. Ambiance is amazing and employees work so hard to get your bagel done fast! The bagels are soft, fluffy, and the array of cream cheese flavors is excellent. Indoor seating with a cool vibe too. Cannot recommend more!!

Can’t even accept the orders properly and then give attitude about remaking it. Girl at the cashier w black hair and fake lashes didn’t even try to help and seemed to be indifferent smirking all the way. My bf had to purchase another bagel and they didn’t even care. Why we had to waste money on the second item just because the team doesn’t work properly ignoring customers? Hope the issue will be addressed.
Anyway, terrible service, atmosphere is nice though

Perhaps the worst egg and cheese I’ve ever had. Incredibly bland. Shocking actually.
