The only clean and decent bagel shop in the area. However, the store closes at 2pm when the sign closes at 3pm. Seats are all up at 2pm. A man cleans the dining area with mop at 2pm. The store would have more business they stayed open all day until 7pm. Its NYC, everyone loves bagels.
This place has fresh bagels and meats and Lox/fish. It stands out from most of the food venues in East Harlem. It's definitely expensively prices though. Prices you would find in Manhattan below 96th Street. It is worth the prices if you are looking for fresh food and bagels. Not certain if this place is dine in. I don't think so, but I've been to this place before 9 AM and earlier on most occasions.

I had bacon and egg on a roll, a quintessential NYC staple, and they nailed it! The roll was fresh, the bacon and eggs generous. It was piping hot when I unwrapped the aluminum foil. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast, rounded off with a coffee, light and sweet. Bagel Tree also has a comfortable seating area with both tables and chairs as well as stools along the front window.
