Ordered a gluten-free banh mi. My mouth has never been so happy.

Very pricey banh mi - can find other good banh mi down the block in Chinatown

One of my go-to sandwich places. The flavors and the freshness never disappoints.

wish I could rate it 4.5 stars-it was pretty good! not even sure why I’m marking it down, I just don’t feel like it’s quite 5 stars because it’s nothing out of this world, but maybe it’s a bias because of the sandwich I ordered?

the catfish was cooked nicely, everything else was pretty standard, and the hot sauce on the side (ordered separately) was so yummy. definitely needed it on the sandwich otherwise would’ve been pretty bland

THIS RESTAURANT SENT ME TO THE ER with THE WORST FOOD POISONING! 3 people sick because of this place!!!

We ordered lunch for the office and THREE of us were sick by the end of the day. Two out of us three had ordered the same dish (bun bowl with beef curry) and the other a banh mi. I spent 7 hours at the ER having fluids pumped into me because I almost lost consciousness from the dehydration and the violence of the poisoning, with blood in my stool. You can't get THIS sick unless the food has something truly heinous in it. Three days later I am still recovering and unable to eat and still waiting for labs and cultures to come back to know what horrible thing I caught from this place. I wasted 2 whole days of work. Racked a big hospital bill. AVOID AT ALL COST!

I stopped by pretty randomly because I was walking by and was so hungry after a day of viewing different apartments. I had their classic Zon Bahn mi and it was SO GOOD. I used to live in Houston, land of the Bahn mi, and this was on par. Thinking about going back for another one this week… that’s how good it was.

They also were closed all morning and didn't open until 2pm. When I arrived in the afternoon, I hyad to wait awhile for my two sandwiches to be made - seemed like they were prioritizing take-outs rather than in-person customer. Tried sandwiches based on the positive reviews but the filling was little expected more for the price. It was fine but I wouldn't go back again. I did appreciate they had vegan options at least.

The staff are friendly and service was really quick. I ordered the chicken rice plate and the catfish rice plate perhaps because it was towards the end of the night, but the chicken was dry. I have tried their banh mi in the past.
Overall I recommend the banh mi over the rice plates.

I've been on a journey to find authentic Vietnamese bánh mì in New York. Let me tell you, this place ain't it. First, like so many Vietnamese places in New York, this place is not actually run by Vietnamese but is Chinese-owned, so any hope for authenticity is out the window. The staff? A smile or even basic human decency is lost on these culinary delinquents. The bread itself is hard and dense and is nothing like the light airy baguettes you'd eat in Vietnam. In short, this place is an insult to Vietnamese cuisine and you'd be better off with a soggy hot dog from a nearby street cart, at least that way you know what you're getting into.

We just got Banh Mi's catered from Banh Mi Zon for our weekly office lunch. Shoutout to our office manager for getting Banh Mi's for lunch. That's so gangster.

I love Chris Voss's book "Never Split the Difference," which details how to negotiate well and get what you want in life. I negotiated my way to half a beef sandwich and half a Zon sandwich (house special), as I wanted to try both. Would I have been able to do this without using tactically empathy that Chris Voss preaches? I guess we'll never know...

The beef was decent, but nothing to write home about. The Zon on the other hand, was the one. It was made up of pate, Vietnamese ham & salami, and shredded pork jerky wrapped in a crispy baguette. 8.5/10 for me.

We were all seated around the rectangular table discussing life, liberty, and quotas over our Banh Mi's. A beautiful sight really.

I must note that many other reviews say they charge different prices than their menu states, and that's just a great way to piss off the consumer. Just change the menu prices... I didn't experience this first hand though, so it's not affecting my rating.

My favorite Banh Mi in the city still comes from Saigon Vietnamese Sandwich Deli in the Lower East side. $10 for a BOMB Banh Mi that was better than any Banh Mi I had in my time in Vietnam... Oh you haven't been to Vietnam!?!?!? Couldn't be me...

Like the other reviewer said, their prices are a lie. Says $13 for a sandwich and I was charged over $16 (no tip) when I went in-person. Crazy price for a banh mi, honestly. If you raise your prices, label it. The store was also weirdly branded as a different place? Super weird. Ordered a vegan sandwich and it was ok. Almost all mushroom, no tofu, which I wasn't a big fan of. Would recommend going somewhere else, especially since they're keen on misleading their customers.

I’ve been a regular customer here, enjoying their sandwiches for a few years now. However, my recent experience was disappointing. Today, I brought a friend along, and when I went to pay, I was charged almost $4 extra. I asked the cashier about the extra charge, and he told me it was a service fee but offered to reverse it. I’m not sure if he actually did, as the reversal didn’t show up on my account.

What really bothers me is this kind of hidden charge. When the menu states one price, I expect to pay that price—not something higher. I should decide if and how much I want to tip, not have it essentially forced upon me. The new payment terminal, with its suggested tips starting at $1 and going up to 30% or more, feels incredibly pushy.

Why should anyone tip 30–40% on a simple sandwich when there’s no real service being provided? It’s not a sit-down restaurant. The employees are just doing their jobs, and I don’t think it’s fair to push customers into tipping for counter service. This experience left a bad taste, and I’m reconsidering coming back.
