Came in for breakfast and had a lovely morning. I got the BYOB breakfast and the eggs were perfect poached and my fresh squeezed juice was delightful. The place is cozy and the staff are very attentive.

Banter offers a delightful brunch experience with a menu that showcases modern takes on classic dishes. The Omelette, Golden Folded Eggs, Pumpkin Matcha latte and the Nutella Stuffed French Toast are particularly noteworthy.
However, it's worth noting that the noise level can be quite high during peak hours, which might not be ideal for intimate conversations.
Despite this, the friendly staff and quality offerings make Banter a worthwhile visit for brunch enthusiasts.

We came in on Monday morning and were seated right away. I ordered a latte and my husband ordered a juice with beets and strawberries (delicious).

My MIL and I ordered the bacon and egg roll, my FIL and husband got the BYOB. Everything tasted good and came out quickly.

Small place and really cute in side.

During a recent trip to NYC, we were delighted to be recommended this charming spot for breakfast—and it did not disappoint! This cozy, hygge-inspired cafĂ© was the perfect place for a late morning meal. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and seated at a quaint little table.

We took our time exploring the menu, brimming with intriguing “Brekkie” options. Ultimately, we opted for the classic Two Eggs Any Style and the Bacon & Egg Roll—a hearty sandwich packed with fried egg, crispy bacon, pickled onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli, all nestled in a fresh ciabatta roll. There was even an option to add mashed avocado, which sounded tempting, but the sandwich was already so generously filled! Honestly, it was so substantial that it could have easily been shared.

To accompany our meal, we ordered lattes that arrived beautifully adorned with intricate latte art. The atmosphere was made even more inviting by the walls adorned with paintings by local artists, a thoughtful touch that showcased and supported the creative community.

Outside, a well-shaded seating area offered plenty of space to enjoy a leisurely breakfast without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and savor your morning. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in NYC!

Visited about 10 am on a weekday. Got seating after about 10 minutes.

When visiting their homepage, they have a slogan all over the place "delicious + healthy". That may explain the flavours I felt. I had french toast, that tasted "too" healthy for my preference. The texture of the french toast was as if made with multi-grain bread and the overall sweetness was low. I think it is better to have other options than the sweet one's for more flavour. The latte did not taste good.

As this place has good reviews, I expected more.
Food was average, small portions. I had an avocado toast with poached egg and avocado on the side and it wasn’t spectacular. Chai latte is ok, coffee not so good. When the waiter see you put your last bite in your mouth, he immediately takes plate and asks if you want something else or a recipe. I find it rude. I didn’t finished my coffee. It’s breakfast time and wwant to take it slow.
It’s ok option if you’re close by and don’t have time to look for better option.

We went for breakfast today. The breakfast was good. However, as soon as we finished, The waitress brought the bill without us asking. Then, just 2 minutes later, she came with the credit card POS. We were still planning to have coffee. Her behavior was very rude.

A small restaurant with delicious dishes for a slightly higher price. When we were there it was well frequented.

I really enjoy to eat breakfast at this location. My last visit was very unpleasant. The food was excellent as usual, however a minute after we were done with our dishes the waiter came to quickly pickup everything, and the check was brought the minute after. I understand there are people waiting outside to be seated, but have some respect for the customer that drove an hour to eat there and spend $100 just for breakfast of two.

My recent visit to Banter NYC left me with a somewhat underwhelming impression. While the wait time was minimal, the food itself was quite average. The dishes lacked a distinct flavor profile and failed to leave a lasting impression.
