My friends and I went to get a quick brunch a few months back and the spot was so cute! Our server was so nice and the food was just as incredible! I recommend the fried chicken sandwich if you go in, it was cooked perfectly and our espresso martinis and Bellinis after the meal were just superb! Going back so soon, such a cute intimate low key spot for friends or a cute morning date spot!

An extremely underrated thing a great breakfast place can do: serve a top notch cold brew coffee. Banter has been doing it for a decade, way before it was cool. We always find an excuse to get brunch and caffeinate with their delicious, bold CB. One of our favorites in the city.
Banter NYC - West Village I wait all week for your weekend specials. Employees showed warm attention while providing information with smiles. Their kitchen knows what they're doing and the space feels cozy. The food was neither good nor bad. We plan to eat here again soon!

We had the Thai salad with fried chicken and Banter bowl with grilled chicken. Both were very good with different flavor profiles. The fried and grilled chicken were not dry. In a lot of place, the chicken that is less than 1/2 inch thick is dry and overcooked. Also, the shredded carrots were moist, which means that they had not sat around to dry out. Some people will think the Thal salad is a little spicy. We also had their cold brew coffee - no milk. Very well done. At a lot of place the cold brew coffee is high octane or bitter or both. In the future, we will go early for breakfast. We are glad we found thew place.
