I ordered ESCARGOTS PERSILLADE and it was extremely disappointing because it didn't have any garlic. It was served with "garlic herb butter" which didn't even smell like garlic and without one the meal was ruined.
My next meal was Dry-Aged New York Striploin for $78 (as part of a prefixed menu). The steak itself was small relatively to the price, somewhat 6-8 oz. While it was cooked right, it was not juicy, didn't smell or taste aged, didn't have any fat and was not better than any steak you can get in any other place. Certainly, it wasn't worth the price.
To sum up, the food was disappointing and I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My boyfriend and I recently visited Bar Boulud and had the pleasure of being served by Johnathan. From the moment we walked in, Johnathan was not only friendly and welcoming but also offered great drink recommendations and made sure we felt taken care of throughout the afternoon. It’s rare to experience such personalized service, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail. The vibe of the bar was also fantastic—relaxed, yet energetic, with a great and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a top-notch experience! Ask for Johnathan you will not regret it!

Had brunch here on a Saturday - sat outside, very mediocre experience.

Outdoor dining was warm and comfortable, even on a very cold day.

Service was inconsistent- initial cups were dirty / stained and needed to be replaced. Tea pot was cracked.

Burger ordered medium was very rare and needed to be sent back.

Quiche and French Toast were fine.

Not accommodating for kids / toddler orders.

I brought a friend here to eat before heading to Lincoln Center. The food was amazing as always. The duck confit was out of this world. However, the service was not at all what I’ve experienced here before. Our server had way too many tables and the host just sat at the podium on his phone. No one ever checked in after our food was dropped off. We had to flag down our server to get our check after waiting for a long while, and even then we had to take the check up to the host to pay it because the server never came back. The lack of service was just not acceptable.
We were also really disappointed with the lack of holiday decor inside. The outdoor seating area was decorated and just felt festive. The inside of the restaurant barely felt like the holidays at all.
Thank goodness the food was so perfectly prepared because the rest of the experience really fell flat.

Dinner out with my amazing twin daughters … everything was perfect. Escargot, pescado a la plancha (in Spanish as don’t recall the French… but who cares what it’s called anyway), prime pork chop … this most amazing cuisine and impeccable service. The desert was indescribable - a frozen grapefruit loaded with tasty gelato and capped with a thin layer of halavah … breathtaking!

Asked for a small cup of warm milk for my toddler. Got charged as such but got given cold mil. The Latina barista got huffy when I reminded her colleague at the register that I ordered warm milk. She told him she wasn’t going to make it. He said he’d refund me but never did. We all have bad days but she had a serious problem with her attitude. Afternoon of 11/24.

I went here with my wife and a friend for a pre-show dinner. We paid $130 for a bowl of pasta and two of the driest hamburgers we have ever eaten, anywhere. Our waiter was rude and would not bring my wife lettuce and tomato for her very poorly prepared meal.
I have never paid that much money and been treated so poorly at a restaurant in NYC.
I would recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Firstly, there was NO prix fixe option on the menu given to us. I ordered the entrecôte steak and it was salty to the point of having to wake up in the night to drink water. Should have sent it back but did not out of respect for my dining partners (who were paying for a birthday dinner). Service was generally good, but when I asked about the specials (this was only 6:30p) the server informed us that they were already out of ALL of them and declined to describe them even if they had them. A dinner costing over $325 for three people should have left a better impression overall, especially given the location and chef name that they’re trading under. Would not recommend this for a special occasion. Perhaps to grab a $30 burger for a show you’re taking your out of town cousin to, but nothing more. They will be closed within a year. FAR TOO MUCH SALT

Welcoming atmosphere, great service. Best French Onion Soup. On a chilly night it hit the spot. All was really good - I’ll be back!
