Have come here many times over the years - always a treat! My favorite spot in the area and one of my favorites in NYC. They treat you like family - incredible hospitality, incredible and fresh food, and a fantastic, extensive wine selection. The real deal. They're super accommodating about allergies and dietary restrictions, as well. Last night we came in for dinner with friends after eloping and everything was perfect. I couldn't ask for a better night out! I wish I wasn't terrible with names so I could give our server the proper shout out he deserves. Thank you!

We had an incredible experience at Bar Italiana! The food was a 10 out of 10 — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Super expensive. 52 dollars for plainly grilled fish with just a small portion of Broccoli rabi. The noise level is so high, it is impossible to have a conversation without raising your voice.

Starters (Indivia and Rape Rosé salads) were fresh and flavorful. Mains (pappardelle and salmon) were just okay. Tiramisu was excellent and the highlight. Service was decent but slowed down when it got busy. Food was a bit pricey for the quality. Nice to try once, but with better Italian options around, I’d only come back for drinks — we liked the wine and Aperol Spritz.
