Great stop for views of the Empire State Building & NYC skyline, as well as a good martini and TVs to watch the game.
When making the reservation I was under the impression we would be in the Pop Christmas winter ski lounge room, but we were able to visit still after we were done eating. The food and drinks were delicious and we ate and drank everything that we ordered. I would definitely come back.
Had a fantastic time at magic out for a girls night out! Espresso martinis are yum and the vibe is great
The ambiance was lovely- very beautifully decorated to give Aspen feels. Kayleigh( (I hope i spelled it right) was lovely and very attentive. The only negative is that the person downstairs at the entry did not bother to look up my name for the reservation and said "well go to the bar if you don't have the email confirmation" - i found it odd and rude being that the other person on the 18th floor was able to look up my name and find the reservation. Maybe she is not the first encounter a client should have at Magic hour as it really ruins the magic.
Terrible customer service. We placed the food order and it never arrived when we asked for it they told us the kitchen was closed even though the order was entered.
The mountain lodge holiday pop-up was so much fun and guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit and the drinks were spot on.
I understand why this place is one of the best rooftops in NYC. I was so impressed with the decor & the atmosphere the vibes were definitely it. Loved how they had places where you could take photos. Could see this being a spot that you definitely go to for brunch with the girls to take them pics. The service was a little off, there was a period of time where our waitress had disappeared and we couldn't get a few things that we needed. When we had booked this reservation we were excited to get a full experience cause we have stayed at the Moxy for a decade but never have been up to the rooftop for brunch . So once we sat down I knew I wanted to get the pancakes for sure . We were torn between the Crème brûlée french toast or the cotton candy pancakes. I am more of a pancake person than French toast. Once we got the pancakes , I realized that with the cotton candy alone was very very sweet. But on top of that the pancakes themselves were super dry, so I wasn't impressed. Even after I had tried them several ways to see if one was better than the other, with just the cotton candy alone & syrup. One with the apples & syrup & one with the blueberries with syrup. No matter what I got super dry. My husband had with the the banana foster & enjoyed it. The eggs, bacon, home fries and salad was the plate I enjoyed the most! I will give that you definitely are paying for just the atmosphere. I would definitely go again and try a few other things before completely saying if I'd go back again or not. The music also was definitely created by millennials! All the songs were hitting.
Not at all what we expected from the photos and the descriptions. Service also was horrible. We ended up leaving before ordering. 100% do not go—-
No food options - about 4-5 food items to choose from and all are extremely basic. Overcooked my fries and undercooked my sliders - had to wait for both to be recooked. Aesthetic not as advertised on social media. Extremely underwhelmed
The space is great! The coat check requirement is nonsensical and annoying. Our waitress took her time. The ambience and food were amazing!! Hoping for a better experience next time.

The place was great but I felt like the bouncers and check in felt a little weird. Our waitress was great but before her we had another one who then left and didn't say anything about a new waitress coming to help us.
Table service was spotty. Passed by often without asking for drink orders. Had to get up and ask for drinks.
Not a great time. There truly aren't any instagrammable locations within the Magic Hour. It is more of a pregame spot to have a few drinks. We were not fond of our waitress. She got my drink order wrong and then insisted it wasn't wrong. Then we went outside on the deck to do pictures, the city line was great for the pics but we were hoping for more. We went to use the ladies room before we left and the security gentleman overseeing the bathroom area was down right rude. I had a body suit on and needed one of my family members to come in the restroom with me to unzip it and the guard was insisting that she could not come in to help and at one point said an obscenity under his breath but loud enough so we could hear. I wouldn't waste my money there ever again. Very disappointed.
Waited 15 mins before our server took our order. Then another 15 to get our drink (beer and cocktail). Food came out like 10 mins after drinks which wasn't bad. Then at the end of the night the elevator was down and they wouldn't let us take the stairs. They said they were for emergency only. Eventually after 15 or so people got fed up with waiting for an elevator we took stairs anyway. The food was the only real plus.
Magic Hour Rooftop Bar – A Must-Visit NYC Spot! Had an amazing time at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar! The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, with incredible views of the Empire State Building that made the night feel truly special. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the drinks were top-notch — perfectly mixed and beautifully presented. It's the ideal place for a relaxed evening with friends or a date night in the city. Highly recommend!
