My nephew, his wife and I had a fabulous time dining at Primi Bowery. Where to even begin? The host set the tone with his welcoming personality and was so accommodating re: our table choice. We dined upstairs (the restaurant is beautiful) and the service was phenomenal. Every five minutes our water glasses were being refilled (which I love). We ordered a bunch of apps and ended up sharing a pasta and fish entree too. Onward to two desserts to celebrate a birthday! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish!

My wife and I love this restaurant - the food is amazing, wine and cocktails are great, and the service is fantastic. It's also my go-to Italian restaurant when my gluten-free family members are visiting.

Very cute and cozy restaurant. Appeared to be a local hangout, which I always love when visiting the city. The food was good and the general vibe was very nice. There's nothing extraordinary about the menu, but it is that comfort Italian food which we were looking for. I think you'll really enjoy it. I would go again. .

We always love dining at Bar Primi, it is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is great and the atmosphere is always nice.

Very loud to the point where it becomes stressful and unpleasant. Food was very disappointing. Pappardelle were undercooked and bland.

We got the crostini to share and I got the papardelle. I thought the pasta was pretty great and I like that they gave me a pretty decent portion.

My wife and I recently visited this restaurant from Texas to celebrate our anniversary and initially had a great experience. However, the evening took a turn when we received our check and noticed we had been charged for a $150 bottle of wine. As a casual wine drinker, I would never order a bottle at that price, regardless of the occasion.

The restaurant was very dimly lit, and we had to use our phone lights to read the menu. The wines were listed in ascending order by price, with the least expensive options at the top. I pointed to the $60 bottle at the top of the list when ordering. When the maître d’ presented the wine, I assumed it was the correct one and approved it without much thought.

When the bill arrived, I saw the $150 charge and immediately called the waiter over to discuss it. I explained that I had ordered the cheapest bottle. The waiter took me to the host podium to check the menu again. This time, the wines were listed in descending order, and the bottle I had supposedly “chosen” was now the $150 one. Feeling stuck and not wanting to escalate the situation, I reluctantly paid the bill and left.

Since then, I’ve shared the experience with friends in the restaurant industry, who mentioned they’ve heard of menu swaps happening before. While the food and overall dinner were fantastic, this wine mix-up soured the experience for me. It also ruined my budget-friendly wine habit—now I know what expensive wine tastes like, and my usual $30 bottles just don’t compare!

Went here on our recent trip to NYC and had a really nice time. I wouldn’t say it’s anything too out of the ordinary, but everything was good quality and the prices were fair. Staff was lovely as well, we didn’t feel rushed or anything which I really appreciate. This spot is a safe bet if you’re looking for a nice atmosphere and some good pasta.

Went into this place on a whim with my best friend and it was amazing! We got the Cesar salad and a ricotta appetizer which were both perfectly salted (very important in my book). The ambiance was amazing the music was great they had customized napkins, plates, coasters and matchbooks (it’s the little things). Will totally be recommending this place
