We are regulars and love the place for its nice vibe, great vines and friendly staff.
I hosted my wife's surprise birthday party there the other night for around 30 guests. Management and staff were very professional and helpful in the planning process. Service on the night was excellent and friendly, which all of our guests - many from out of town - echoed. Food received high praises as well.
Recommend the bar for your bottle(s) of wine with the other half and /or friends but also for small parties.

Bar Veloce Chelsea has been my neighborhood spot for the past 5 years, and is truly a neighborhood staple. The happy hour deal is unbeatable, the ambiance is perfection, and the staff is so fun and welcoming. The entire staff - especially David, Dara, and Valentin - are absolutely, 100% the reason that I keep coming back. They all immediately make you feel at home. The only drawback is that the music is quite dated and doesn’t quite fit the overall vibe. Aside from that - I could not recommend this spot more highly. You will not be disappointed!

Bartender seemed annoyed that he had to do his job. Difficult to get his attention and get service even when he wasn't busy. I got the vibe I wasn't the "right kind of person" to be here and it was a chore to have to give me basic service.
I won't refuse to go here again, but I'd certainly look for other options first.

Very nice atmosphere in the back patio with plants and dim lighting, and not too noisy. It was easy to get a seat on the patio on Wednesday night.
They have a somewhat, but still existent, non-alcoholic drink menu. I had their Sonic Youth non-alcoholic mocktail, and it was not sweet at all (which I liked) and had an interesting flavor. Okay maybe I wish it was just slightly sweet.
Loved the Lavender Tonic. It's slightly sweet.
The Rosemarina is not my favorite. Too bitter / sour. Okay to sip but I prefer the Lavender Tonic.
