Very recommended place to go especially after work day. Fantastic selection of wine and great drinks. Definitely my hang out spot. They have great stuff but Julien it’s definitely my favorite very attentive bartender. Always smiling and answering your every question about wine and drinks. Great panini’s worth to try even as appetizers.
Bar Veloce Chelsea has been my neighborhood spot for the past 5 years, and is truly a neighborhood staple. The happy hour deal is unbeatable, the ambiance is perfection, and the staff is so fun and welcoming. The entire staff - especially David, Dara, and Valentin - are absolutely, 100% the reason that I keep coming back. They all immediately make you feel at home. Bartender seemed annoyed that he had to do his job. Difficult to get his attention and get service even when he wasn't busy. I got the vibe I wasn't the "right kind of person" to be here and it was a chore to have to give me basic service.
I won't refuse to go here again, but I'd certainly look for other options first.
