Lovely food in a cozy environment well decorated. We didn't partake but huge mezcal and tequila menu to try next time.

This was the 1st time I visited the restaurant. Everything was delicious. The nachos were my favorite. The service was equally as great. They were patient with my questions and made fantastic recommendations

This was my first time trying this place and last.So upset, I found a staple/piece of metal in my elote. The metal scraped my cheek and gums… Thank goodness I was eating it and not my child. So disappointed because I was really enjoying the taste of the food, but this right here just really turned me off. Do better this could have choke me or my child or even worst.

Had seen this pop up on instagram and looked absolutely amazing, so made a reservation here for my first night in NYC. I am always up to try a 100% gluten free restaurant, especially when it is entirely plant-based since I am dairy free as well! It’s a rare occasion where I can order anything on the menu and the experience did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and despite being very busy, I never felt as if I was kept waiting. I opted for the nachos since I couldn’t remember the last time I was able to order nachos at a restaurant. What arrived was something resembling a work of art–a tower of nachos stacked layer by layer with toppings–guacamole, vegan chorizo - so good!, vegan queso, vegan sour cream, beans, salsa, jalapenos. The portion was way too big just for one person so it’s all that I ordered that evening, even though I had been eyeing the empanadas (which I ended up ordering for lunch a few days later bc I couldn’t get them out of my mind). I’d say they were just okay, but I’m glad I tried them. The nachos definitely take the cake and I would order them again without a doubt. Highly recommend Bar Verde for its friendly service and delicious food!

I was looking forward to coming here for dinner. But the service wasn't great. I had to place our dinner order twice. I would have ordered another drink if I were asked and the churros were burned.

The food was great as always! We did feel a little rushed. Everything was brought out all at once (chips and salsa and entrees). There was barely enough room on the table and one of our items had to be re-plated to fit on the table. I understand it was a Saturday evening (reservation was at 5:30 pm), and and I'm sure there were lots of reservations. So I get that to some extent. Overall it was good, but we'll definitely rethink making reservations on a Saturday moving forward.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I have Celiac, I'm allergic to soy and I choose to be dairy free. It was a dream to be able to order anything I wanted and not have to ask questions and be so careful. It was so relaxing and fun. The staff was amazing. The nachos were incredible. I gave it the highest rating I could and would give more. Thank you to the creators and staff for bringing Bar Verde to NYC!

We had a great time at Bar Verde! I was with a group of 16 and we got both our drinks and food pretty fast. Not everyone there followed a gluten free/plant based diet but everyone was raving about their food. I can't eat corn but it was amazing to finally eat Mexican food out and have the option for quinoa tortillas, they were great. The only bummer was we got kicked out of our table after 1 hour and 45 mins with no warning - normally with a group this big, I would think they would give over 2 hours since we were still drinking. I wish this was something they told us upon arriving. Otherwise, I have no complaints!

We really enjoyed our meal here! I have to eat gluten and soy free and choose to eat dairy free and it was so nice to eat somewhere without asking about everything. Thankful for places like this! They gave us a generous amount of guacamole and refilled our chips when we had guac left. Churros are incredible!Dietary restrictions: Gluten and soy, avoids dairy

The food here is - truly terrible. I wanted to like it (gluten free & vegan Mexican?!? How could I not!!) but every bite was thoroughly devoid of flavor. Even the churros were inedible. Great idea - poor execution.

The BEST dinner my wife and I have had in a really long time! I’m a celiac and we’re both vegetarian, so finding a spot we don’t have to “worry” at is always refreshing, but this place blew away all expectations. Food was incredible, our server was great and hilarious, and the cocktails tasted fresh and perfectly mixed. 13/10, cannot recommend enough and will absolutely be back!Vegetarian options: All!!!Dietary restrictions: Perfect for celiacs and plant based folks

Amazing find while we were holidaying in NY. Food and margaritas were top notch and the service was super - our server was really friendly, chatty and recommended some spots nearby for a nice evening.
