Loved eating in the courtyard at night, away from the chaos of Time Square. Food was good and prices were reasonable. In the middle of the theater district and they have a pre theatre set menu.

I got a prefixed menu with glasses of wine ranging from 16 to 18 dollars for quarter glass filled glass. Received the bill and the bar tab was $147.00 for 4 glasses of wine ! YOU DO THE MATH !! Even at $20 a glass plus a coke at $12.00 = &92.00 !! Called the waiter over who had a meeting with 3 other waiters before returning to my table apologizing saying that it was someone else's tab included in mine ,,. Really ?

We had post theatre dinner and the menu was perfect. The Crespelle was absolutely like "paradise" on a plate. My Pacific Bass was so delicious...with a crispy edge and soft /moist interior with a lemon butter light sauce. Our only complaint was the spring mix salad. I expect my salads to have all "fresh" ingredients. However the black, mushy leaves that were put in the salad....I had to remove and honestly turned me off.

The food was delicious only to be topped by the beautiful atmosphere in the garden and the attentive staff. Our visit was made much more memorable by the dapper Eduardo who gave us some amazing historical facts about the restaurant, its generous owner and her genius husband. Eduardo is a treasure and the restaurant is lucky to have him!

5 out of 6 first timers....we were overwhelmed by the restaurant's history and beauty. outstanding food and service. Broadway's “keeper!”

Food was fantastic, the only thing that could have improved our experience was a touch more attention from the wait staff, but that was very minor in an overall excellent experience. But this place is clearly a staple, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. We enjoyed it, highly recommend. Would go back.

Barbetta is one of the increasingly rare Manhattan restaurants to maintain high quality atmosphere, courteous service, delicious food and fine wines. And at high value. We return on each visit to NY.

The place is stoning, service was well although the server could leader the table a little better... the expectation of food was higher than it was.

Opentable Diner

An absolute gem in this big city! The family owned business impacts the ambiance, service and welcoming feel.

A great experience for restaurant week! It felt like we really got good bang for our buck and everything was delicious.

The dining room a/c was making noise thru dinner. No excuse for owners not having repairs done prior to service. Call ahead to insure a/c is working properly

The restaurant was delightful. We were seated out in the Garden on a beautiful evening. We all four ordered from the Pre-theatre menu ( a real bargain), all had different dishes, and all thought they were excellent. Service was prompt and attentive. Our only complaint was too much food. We will definitely be back.

Dining in the outdoor garden at Barbetta's was a lovely relief and oasis in the midst of the Theatre District.
