Just bad. This was my go to for many years but unfortunately it’s in steep decline recently. My final order was completely botched with no offer to fix or refund for missing food in my dinner and dessert which was delivered missing an important part. I called asking for the missing item and was refused despite having paid for it. The food sent was cold and chips were stale. This is why I’m writing this and will never again patronize Barking Dog. So sad - was amazing when the Aussie guy ran it way back when. So done.

Everyone here is so outrageously nice!! But I just can’t justify spending $20 for the entire plate (hash browns, sausage) to have freezer burn. A step down from a diner food and very disappointing I’m afraid. Seems like a nice place to go if you have a dog, though.

I got breakfast. My eggs were runny and with the pancakes (3) that were a nice size and thick. The gave me two small syrups which only covered a 1/2 of one pancake because it soaked the syrup right away. Wouldn’t recommend you have it “to go” they don’t give you enough condiments to enjoy your food. I guess the 10 jelly’s they out in my bag was a syrup substitute ??♀️

The food was incredible, the fish and chips battered great, the blackened salmon sandwich was a great fresh taste and not too fishy. Though the best thing…the Illyrian sheepdog burger. If you need something fresh and packs a ton of flavor look no further. Would come back to this place again and again.
Foo was pretty good. I ordered their French Poodle cocktail. The flavor was very nice and smooth. I could actually taste the elderflower in it. Another good thing is that they didn’t leave ice cubes in there. The drink was nice a chill, and didn’t get diluted by the melted ice over time. For appetizer I ordered crab cake. It was pretty nice. It actually tasted fresh, the crab meat was fresh, sweet and flaky. The aioli was also very nice, and tasted like a heavier version of pesto. I ordered their fish and chips as my main course. The portion was huge. 4 big chunks of cod fish. The batter was so light and crispy, and the cod was so fresh, juicy and flaky. However, the crispy outside didn’t last too long. The fries were just ordinary. Towards the end, it felt kinda heavy when I was trying to finish my last piece of fish. The staff was nice, but sometimes it takes longer to be serviced. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant. Probably the best fish and chips I have had for a long time.

Poor service on more than a few occasions...inattentive wait staff. Seems poorly managed
A couple years later I came back...wait staff still as slow and inattentive as they were...poor business model..wait staff never come. Then never check back...low tipping is probably more effective than complaining here...hasn't helped in 2 years
