The Barking Dog in the upper east side is a true gem! It’s dog friendly. The service is amazing. The staff is very welcoming and the food is delicious. They have amazing fried chicken sandwiches and their steak quesadillas are a must-try! The Barking Dog doesn’t just have burgers and sandwiches they have soups, salads, entres and pasta ! AND desserts (:
I grew up going to the Barking Dog on York Avenue and expected a similar level of service here, but alas I found the eggs to be much greasier and the service to be quite slow on most occasions. Occasionally we’ve had a great waiter that checks in, refills water, and handles requests (check, straws, to go box) but most of the time it’s a hassle to get our waiter’s attention. For the price, there’s plenty of other options in the area that I prefer. But, the vibe inside is...
Homey atmosphere with eclectic menu. We all had different omelets & shared the tastes. Hash browns & biscuits & everything were WONDERFUL!! Server was pleasant & professional.
