We have eaten at this location several years ago and then the Union Square location 2 years ago. The ambience is better at the Union Square location as was the food and service. We ordered the scallion pancakes, one with vegetables m, the other with seafood. They came out in a thick, weirdly textured oily mess. They did not even remotely resemble the pancakes that we had ordered here in the past which which flatter and cooked on both sides. The seafood pancakes were lacking in seafood and what seafood was present was rubbery in texture. We also had the wings in the soy garlic glaze. Texture and crispiness were good, but they were lacking in flavor. We had a salad which had citrus, berries, apples, greens, corn and croutons in a yuzu dressing. It was the best thing we had at this dinner. However, the salad was supposed to have quinoa which they apparently had forgotten. It also was supposed to come with Parmesan which we asked not to have. The salad should not have had croutons or Parmesan as they are odd choices with the rest of the ingredients. Our last item was the veggie japchae. Very oily and completely lacking in any flavor. Won't be coming back. Too many other amazing choices in Koreatown.
Better Korean food than Korea
Good crowd for a Friday lunch. Portions are large for the sets which come with soup, banchan shrimp tempura and a potato croquette.
Uni bibimbap - fresh uni on a healthy bed of seaweed, grains, veggies and rice.
Bulgogi dolsot - comes with mushrooms which works really well with the beef.
Ambience is cosy, seating is not the most comfortable. Service is okay.

Hmmmmm, my second day in NYC, my second dining out, and it was my second disappointing experience AGAIN in NYC... Galbi-jjim was just sweet without much flavoring, the portion was too little for $50 even considering I was in NYC.... the waiter guy must have been new; i had to ask for stuffs, not being provided before asking for them...ex) water, more napkins....etc...

Great ambiance, amazing food and super friendly service! I know the corn is a side dish but it's amazing! Bulgogi, spicy pork and fish toe rice were all authentic and tasty. Highly recommended!

Interesting Korean tapas place. If you feel on the healthier side, there's the seafood stews. If you feel like splurging because you worked out six times last week, there's the ribeye and short rib either on top of rice or grilled. Service was very friendly. Ambience was casual and relaxed, and I had an amazing lunch with my best friend. Their lunch specials are good value.
For the price you pay, food is not okay. $37 for a spicy pork... rice menus are fine but not worth $24. Also platter menu does not exist.
