This place is a gem. The prepared (mostly vegetarian) takeout dishes are superb, the eat-in salads and sandwiches are excellent and the staff is always efficient and courteous. Oh and it’s also a pretty good cheese shop!! Way more than another rum-of-the-mill spot, Barnyard is the best ♥️

My go-to neighbourhood lunch spot. Love the cheeses, the prepared deli foods, the baguettes are great, the sandwiches, the staff, and the music. QUALITY INGREDIENTS. Love that they have an 'orphans' section: small portions of cheeses so you can buy and try, under 5 bucks usually! Try and get your hands on St. Stephen Four Fat Fowl and Prairie Breeze. Sooooo freaking good like woah. Woah.

Absolutely love this place! So so happy it came back after being closed. They have the best sandwiches and salads -- always delicious and fresh. And they also have an awesome cheese selection & awesome yummy, freshly made side dishes too. Barnyard love ?❤️ My personal favorites are: the Popeye salad (with grilled chicken) and The Greatest American sandwich. Both are divine ?

YUM!! These sandwiches were so good! Would reccomend getting the chicken warm sandwich on different bread because the ciabatta (?) was way too thick. Overall loved everything.
