Very disappointing experience. I have been to Basso about 4 times now and enjoyed it, though the time before this last time was also not great. The food was awful- chicken dish was tough and I left half of it. I brought friends to Basso as I had raved about it but I don't think I will return. Ashame because I like the owners.

Have visited multiple times and will continue to come back. Specials are always on point. But the menu items never disappointment. Grilled shrimp, calamari, and mussels are all solid appetizers. Can't go wrong with any of the salads. Favorite entrees include the gnocchi, lobster ravioli, orecchiette, branzino, and chicken parmesan. Service has always been great. And it's awesome to have the option to sit outside on warmer days.

The overall attitude of the staff was they did not want to be there and wanted to go home. By 9 30 they had shut off everything but the lights and the staff had its coats on waiting to leave while the last diners were finishing. Basically, Soviet era service in a restaurant with a pretty good chef.

Spectacular. The owner is so kind and accommodating. We had 2 small children and they were kind and patient with them. Staff is happy. The Lamb Ragu is fantastic. Veal Parm is the best ever. Every bite of everything was so special and tasty. Quality food. HIGHLY recommend.

Very good food in a place nestled a short walk from the Metro North stationParking: Street parking in front of the restaurant was fine. If youre going during the day I can see how the parking might be more difficult.
The food at Basso56 was some of the best local food we have had in Westchester. The service was excellent. The chef changed my pasta dish for me and made it exactly as I wanted it! It was so delicious!!! Will definitely go back there again!

Enjoyed a delicious Saturday brunch. Service was attentive and friendly without being at all intrusive. Everything was perfectly prepared, but I can especially recommend the capuccino and the creme brulee.

We have been going to Basso for years; first in the City and now in Chappaqua. The food is always amazing. From the items on the menu to the daily specials it is consistently great. The service is always warm and welcoming. It always feels like you are having dinner at a good friend's house. It's a treasure!
