The View at Battery Park Beer Garten

Showed up at 1pm on a Thursday and it was closed. No signs of life.

Simple, elegant, and so good.

2 Beers + 2 Pretzels + tip + ridiculous credit card surcharge 3% = $35.00 ( Lose a star for surcharge, lets split it at 1.5% then)!

Beers were nothing special Stella since they were out of the other local options and the pretzels were good for the size and value. Service was average but what do you expect from kids on a summer job.

I don't find the need to return unless there are no other options near by. Was not even a view!

Rainy day, so not much to reflect on, location and view fine, but everywhere construction with cyclone fencing makes for poor experience.

Disappointing, I have been a few times since it reopened. After today, I will not be going back.

It took forever to get someone to take our order. After ordering drinks they never returned for us to order food. We decided to go else where to eat but took even longer to get our check. The restaurant only had a handful of patrons so it wasn’t a busy time. If you’re in a hurry, definitely avoid.

The atmosphere really good and scenic. The server was patient and friendly. However she didn’t check the dishes before giving us a dirty glass of water. The crispy calamari with the banana peppers was ok including the mustard style sauce that came with it. The shrimp linguine was undercooked and seasoned-less however the presentation was good. The host was ok but unwelcoming. No smiles, no excitement. The food was definitely overpriced. The fish and chip was ridiculous for the sized verses the price. The fish tasted like it was cooked in old oil. One of the four of us didn’t eat after getting a dirty glass because it made us question if we were being served with dirty dishes and clean food. For a popular area it could’ve been better. We wouldn’t come here again.

Wonderful view of of Governors Island and Statue of Liberty. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had appetizers and everything was well prepared and served warm

Absolutely fabulous. The avocado toast was perfect..spicy and not soggy. We thought there would have been more diners considering the level of service.

The view at the View is dominantly blocked by the giant security tent that's on the waterfront. A portion of the biergarten has better views but some of it is obscured as well. I was there for an event, and the food was fine, but nothing exciting. The staff were helpful and quick to grab empty plates, glassware and napkins.

My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding at The View at Battery Park, and it was truly a flawless experience from start to finish. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for many years, I have very high standards, and I can confidently say that every expectation was not just met but exceeded.

The setting itself is beautiful, offering a perfect blend of elegance and charm that made our special day unforgettable. Our guests are still raving about how amazing everything was, and we couldn't agree more.

The food was outstanding—each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our guests kept coming up to us to rave about how much they enjoyed the meal. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure that every detail was taken care of. It was clear that they are not only experienced but also genuinely care about the experience they provide.

A special thank you to Nikki Rizzo, the catering manager, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her attention to detail, organization, and warm personality made the entire planning process stress-free. She went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect, and it absolutely was.
