The place is very nice, but at the time of payment for the third time the waitress a girl/lady with brown hair changed the amount of the tip after I entered what I wanted to leave as a tip, entering a higher percentage and a false signature and illegally taking money from my account without my consent on 12/27/2024.
I feel sorry for the place because it is really very nice but at least this lady of the staff to resell (who drank shots during service hours).

The snugs are really cool if you can get one, but that’s the highlight of this bar. Nobody over the age of 23 really goes here so it’s a ton of college kids. Only one stall bathroom in the whole place so kind of miserable to wait about 25 minutes to use the bathroom.

A great little pub in a popular area. However I got accidentally (I presume) charged $52 for 3 beers on my credit card. The bartender couldn't sort it out for me on the night and when I returned the next day I got asked to email the manager. I did this and they replied saying they would sort it when they were next in the office (it was a Saturday). After chasing multiple times I'm now being ignored. So, I basically have been ripped off by them. This was on July 5th.

UPDATE: Kristina has sorted this all out for me and has been very lovely and patient. They charged for 4 Guinness accidentally instead of 2. Also the original email address I got given was for their sister pub. They have refunded me the whole $52! ? THANK YOU!

I am completely amazed, dissatisfied, upset and disappointed in this place. We are a Colombian expatriate family in New York, who came to live here completely legally, moved for work, we have our residence, we have been living here for three years, and some friends came to visit us, we decided to do Bar Hopping in Manhattan, in a group of 6 adults, we were having a great time Night, we arrived at this place in the best attitude, and for no reason the security person at the entrance, upon seeing the ID's of our friends, who are in NY for tourism for 4 days, decided that we could not enter. When asked why entry was denied, they simply replied that they didn't know why or why not. Without explanation and in a supremely unfair act, they simply decided that they would not let us in... discrimination??? Absolutely the worst place, a shame of a place. Very badly!

I like Bayard's in all it's locations, but this is the original. It is a warm and friendly spot for a beer and some solid fare. Good fish and chips.

I can't rate the food as I didn't have any. The atmosphere was great, very chill vibes. The service is fast. They do have a variety of food and drinks to pick from.

Mediocre, but popular because it's feels like a Murray Hill bar that got lost in the West Village.
