Bazár Tapas Bar & Restaurant – A Delicious Surprise in NYC

Bazár Tapas Bar and Restaurant was a wonderful and unexpected find after our Thanksgiving trip to New York City. We were a little disappointed to discover that Chelsea Market was closed, but while walking around the area, we stumbled upon this place—and we are so glad we did. We absolutely do not regret it.

We ordered the lobster mac & cheese croquettes, the gambas al ajillo, and the bone marrow, and every single dish was delicious. Each bite was full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and truly top-notch cuisine. Everything we tried was incredibly tasty and beautifully executed.

Whether you’re looking for a nice sit-down dinner or just a quick bite, this place is perfect. I highly recommend Bazár for anyone looking for exceptional food in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

My friends and I went on a Thursday night, which happened to be karaoke night. The food and drinks were amazing, service was great, and karaoke host was awesome! Even our fellow patrons were lovely. We all cheered for and supported each other when singing. It was an overall lovely experience and my friends and I will definitely be going back!

This was an absolutely fantastic spot for a very nice atmosphere and tremendous service from our server Carol. She was very attentive and a true pleasure with her demeanor. The food was very timely to come out. We had Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, patatas bravas, Gambas alajio, and steak bites. All of the food was amazing. The ambiance is a dark, sultry vibe. Great for a date night or just friendly meal with friends. Really enjoyed it.

I have to say that these were the best cocktails I’ve ever tired, on point!, the bartender Hugo knew exactly what I wanted, it don’t usually drink much but this time was an exception. Would 100% recommend it.

Me and my bestie come here often, it’s our favorite paella place! It never disappoints! And adding great service and beautiful genuine smile to that, it’s a recipe for a successful evening! Carol made our night tonight with her great personality and service!

The food, the staff and the location are great! Love it and would like to come back again.

This place is so outrageously overpriced for what it is. ONE crab cake the size of my palm for $22 is genuinely crazy when it tasted average at best.

The drinks were great and service was good as well but the food is so so so overpriced you can absolutely get compared tapas in a better ambience for a better price elsewhere in the city.

Fox was great but the waiter used a very strong and concentrated smelling cleaning chemical to spray and wipe down the table next to us. Smelled like undiluted Fabuloso and was very off putting to have that sprayed so close to our food especially when we were eating.

Carlos - aka El Chaco - is the best! Food is as close to Spain as you can get from this side of the pond!

The menu balances fresh quality with fair pricing. The team combines friendliness with useful service. Each dish delivers as promised. Employees provided impressively attentive care. This spot has my full approval.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tapas restaurant. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The decor was nicely prepared for Halloween. We tried a variety of dishes with the Gambas al Ajillo and the Paella Valenciana are favorites. We also enjoyed two desserts, the Chocolate Heaven and the Passion Fruit Flan.
