Food was very delish! But our service was stellar!! Ingrid took very good care of our group and was kind and patient answering all of our food inquiries. She is awesome! Really liked the ambiance and setting, Bazar has perfect vibes for a great evening out with friends.

After we left the bill, a few seconds later the employee came to our table and treated us quite badly with a rather loud and aggressive tone of voice. They should do a customer service evaluation so that certain employees take the right attitude to talk to customers.

The worst service of some workers on this place. He complained to us and spoke very badly, for not having left the amount of tip that he wanted. He treat us like a animals, I never come back to this place.

This is the most disappointing restaurant with worst service I've ever been to in Manhattan. We found steel scrubber in paella. In this case, the manager skillfully took away the evidence and proposed two options: let us wait ANOTHER 35 mins to remake; give us a discount. Considering we had already waited 35 mins for this paella, who would choose to wait another half hour? So we took the second option. When I asked what the discount was, he gave an ambiguous answer, "MAYBE a discount on the total or free for this dish".However, when we checked, we found that the manager had only discounted this dish by 20% (~$24) and claimed it was the biggest discount he could give for us. We were dissatisfied with his perfunctory approach and asked more discount or remake this one, which he declined on the grounds that we had already "enjoyed the food and service" and "their ingredients and labor are expensive". He said he can give us a small dessert. A lady in our party decried his insincere attitude for the mistake, saying "there was no service". He felt these words insulted his restaurant and told us to sign the order or he would "TAKE ACTIONS".To be honest, I didn't think this is a big deal originally. But what really started to piss me off was the manager's attitude towards customers. Since it was late and we students needed to go to school next day, we signed the bill and even gave a little tips to the other restaurant staffs. But because when my friend was negotiating with him, he chose to turn a deaf ear and ignored her. So in the end, I told him that I hoped he would respect ladies more in the future. He knew he was in the wrong, and after seeing that we had signed the bill, he said to me: "I don't want to talk with you. Please leave! YOU ARE NOT WELCOME! DONT COME AGIAN! YOU DISGUST ME!" I really can't believe that a restaurant manager would talk to customers like this, and it hurt our feelings.During the whole process, I could clearly feel that the manager's attitude gradually deteriorated before and after he received the evidence and before and after the check. I guess he saw that we were young international students wearing glasses like nerds who didn’t want to cause trouble, so he became more aggressive. And I think the price of this dish is not unaffordable to this manager, he just wants to bully us young people. I know their reasonably good food will continue to attract customers, but if you read this review and know what happened to us, please think twice before going: is it necessary to suffer possibly psychological poisoning for a meal?

If anyone wonder what is worst way to find out there is STEEL SCRUBBER WIRE in your paella, it is when you pull the wire out from your mouth. But it is not over, manager took the wire immediately without any apology and leave two solutions: either wait for another 35 mins for them to remake it or have a discount (which was not specified how much at the moment). We chose the discount because it already took forever to wait for them to serve the paella. After we finished the food and have the check, the manager only gave 24.6 dollars “employee discount” off 123 dollars paella. After we express our unsatisfactory about how he compensates us, he walk away like we have done something wrong in the first place. This overconfidence and “served many fine dining restaurants” manager claimed we disrespected and insulted him but couldn’t even tell what did we say to make him feel insulted… and why the hell we should respect a manager who doesn’t even apologize for their bad food quality in the beginning? Or is that the “fine dining” way to de-escalate the situation? For anyone who wants to try out this place, be prepared for unprofessional and arrogant manager with scrubber wire seasoned food.

You. Must. Try. The. Paella. It's a difficult dish to get just right but they do. Very well seasoned without being salty, the seafood came out perfectly done (the scallops were melt in the mouth tender) and the portion (for 2 people) was generous. (It does take a little longer to prepare because of the nature of the dish; might be helpful to add a note as such to the menu to set expectations. ) The tuna croquettes and truffle fries were also great. Service was attentive.

Food was overall good but not great. Extra charge for credit card compared to menu prices. Waitress eating her own meal and then licking her own fingers prior to serving food to customers was mildly disturbing (without washing).
